You're right about that. It more than likely that you'll end up with several 0's per week with it and burn your trades trying to fix it. A balanced team is the way to go.

Your backline is really weak and won't score very much. Try down grading 1 or 2 of your mids an fwds and upgrading a few of backs.
Ablett and hodge should drop in price during the season. Use them to upgrade your backline.

Yeah fisher was a really consistent performer for me last year. Never gave me a bad score.

Got about 100k left.

Ellis currently injured, and will drop in value. Hurley a first year KP defender in a team with a glut of such players. Wouldn't touch him.

Palmer too overpriced - second year blues all too common in AFL (and super coach for that matter). Cousins too expensive for the risk he carries at the moment - watch him in NAB cup.

Franklin injured also, and will drop. Gumbleton as a starter is a big risk. I'd swap him for Yarran (a risk, but less of a risk).

Jarrad, I'm a new SC player so i'm in no position to judge, but my advice is to downgrade some of ur gun backs for some higher scoring forwards and then go down back again if you have the spare money. Hentschell, Yarran and Sylvia aren't gonna bring you anything.

Still awaiting feedback on the following team. I believe it to be a very strong side that could go close to winning the whole thing.

It looks good but I think that Malceski is still a risk and although he played a bit last season, he was way below his '07 output. If this is still the case, then you are very short in the backline, which is the hardest section to have 100+avg players.

The same applies to Coughlin as if he doesn't perform you are light on through the midfield and don't have a ruck that can score huge points to reduce the deficiency.

Forward line will score well and I think it worth taking a risk with Gumby, particularly if WCE Brown (i'm assuming it is him) plays.

It isn't supposed to be harsh, but calling it a competition winning team deserves some scrutiny.

I'm not going to list the reasons why but I think most of the top SC teams will have Malceski from the start. There is a top blog by Monty somewhere on Fanfooty about him that really locked him in for me, if he wasn't already.

Ellis injured. I think you need to put a bit more money into your forwards. With Davey and Higgins both fairly injury prone, Veszpremi and Yarran still unproven and Walker and Ballantyne not guaranteed games it seems pretty weak.

Take ur point on Trengrove and Cordy, but why not Watts and Walker?
