Yep Dinosaur Jr are awesome, were so influential.Dinosaur Jr's new stuff sounds pretty awesome.![]()
Yep. J. Mascis is probably the most important guitarist of the last 25 years IMO. Influenced basically every genre with a guitar, and appeals to a massive range of people.Yep Dinosaur Jr are awesome, were so influential.
Thoroughly impressive how they resurrected themselves aswell.
True talents, shows that time was no issue.
I wish!Yep. J. Mascis is probably the most important guitarist of the last 25 years IMO. Influenced basically every genre with a guitar, and appeals to a massive range of people.
Bought Green Mind on vinyl the other day. Unreal.
Have you seen them when they've toured? They were pretty good.
Can't wait for the album. And like you said, true talent and song writing ability doesn't fade.
I'v never played/formed a DT or SC before. Is it worth the time?that was a great game. DT is going pretty well so far.
Raines' injury is going to piss alot of people off.
Thankfully guys like petrenko and hopefully hill will maintain their spots in their respective teams.
Pretty sure they toured 06 and 07.I wish!
I was away and missed the show at Capitol (07 I think).
Their use of changes in dynamic, pretty much typified a lot of the later great 90's rock sound for me. Was so excited when they re-formed (but had to lol at the promo Nike Dunk sneakers) and kudos to you for actually buying Green Mind.... although I don't know many people who have a turntable these days.
Pretty sure they toured 06 and 07.
Late 90s? I reckon most of the best influences were on the early and mid 90s college rock bands. If you listen to Superchunk, you'll know what I mean. Another awesome awesome band.
Nike Dunk? Didn't hear about that one.
I already had Green Mind... but insistence from a friend led me to tinker in vinyl. I'm actually the last person out of the people I know to be going back through vinyl.![]()
Ya rlyLol rly?
They needed the green with the purple. Then it would have been Dino Jr.![]()
Well... Mascis was basically running the show the whole time. The drums have a similar feel because of that IMO.Green Mind was released 1990/91 ish wasn't it???? It's when Mascis really started to take over?
Can't argue with that.Well... Mascis was basically running the show the whole time. The drums have a similar feel because of that IMO.
It's really only the bass that changes from album to album because of this as well. Green Mind is the first without Lou. But iuno. I like Lou... but I'm not a huge fan. I think the best songs were done without him, but apart from Green Mind, the albums as a whole were better with him.
Music, books and philosophy are pretty much my passions really.Hahahahaha you seem to be really enthusiastic about your music history and stuff chops.
I don't think they added the green just for aesthetics sake.
Link plz.Can't argue with that.
Cut and paste sections of the entry on the ninth circle in the Divine Comedy..... should have a msg in there somewhere for Mastablingbling.
