New feature on DT Website - Player Highlight Reels.

Just noticed that if you click the 'stats centre' tab on the main DT page or change the view of your squad page to 'player stats view', you'll see each player has a 'Video' icon next to their names showing a brief highlight reel of that players performance in the last match they played.

It's a little useless, but at least it gives you a chance to catch some of a players performance if you happened to miss it the week prior. But i suppose it could assist you in making the all important decision on who to trade in for injured players such as Raines, Tuck et. al.

i got CABLE bigpond and it doesnt even work. Can get audio but still says buffering.

IDK maybe just for me /shrug

I like it. Don't have Foxtel so it's hard to catch a lot of the footy.
Just clicked on Sam Fisher and saw his marvelous spoil and then goal against Geelong - a couple of years ago albeit.

Have you noticed that even though it says 00:53 etc it just continues to stream non-stop

Yeah, the video and audio load for me, although it freezes about halfway through.

If it isn't working perhaps try loading it in IE if you're using Firefox, as i've always had trouble loading Bigpond videos on my Firefox browser.

Oh, in that case it must just be a highlight reel of that players past performances in general.

But yeah, it appears as though Telstra have some tweaking to do... as always.

Working fine on Firefox for me.
Clicked on Petrenko and have just watched pretty much the whole first qtr of the Crows v Pies game. If you hit the 'Fullscreen' button that quality is quite good.

Brilliant idea, not the greatest execution. Jared Petrenko's video for me is a 16 second clip of Richard Douglas nabbing a goal...

Sam Jacobs has an 8 second clip where his kicking for goal is cut off...added to that its from the Geelong NAB cup game, not rd 1.

Edit: Also find the loading of the videos to be very slow. Sometimes the audio streams while the video stops and then the video speeds up to meet the audio.

It also just crashed IE. Plenty of work to be done on it that's for sure. You'd think it would have been tested before being implemented.

Yeah, he gets his first touch a few seconds after that.
It's definitely having some teething issues as mine is still playing (first 2 qtrs now).

Like where they are going with it though.

You'd like to think they'd be similar to the highlight reels of players from TAC cup games that are usually on the bigpond sites.

All highlights of the players possessions of the week before would definitely make this feature very handy. It's almost like they're testing it out at the moment. Was looking at Hentchel's highlights and all of his highlights are from 3 years ago all the way back when 9 still had the footy (also has FoxFooty branding)
