I have no idea.

I was set on doing Raines to Petrenko and Anthony to Otten. Still very possible that I will be doing that.

However, with Hill being absolutely terrible I will have to think about getting rid of him. If Broughton plays in his place I can afford to hold out on trading Hill for a little longer but I am not confident.

Ok I've been stupid and traded really early. Traded Reilly for Robinson. I'm going to also trade Anthony out, should I upgrade to Gibbs or sideways trade to Otten/Zaharakis/Beams?

My problems just came out of nowhere in todays games. :(

Westhoff will go this week.
Raines is a drag.
Hill is a waste.
Hopefully even if Hill gets dropped, Broughton will come in for him, meaning I wont have to do any trades to avoid 0's.

$171,600 left over if I trade out Raines for Quinn
$145,500 left over if I trade out Westhoff for Skipworth

If I trade out Westhoff then I won't trade out Raines for a gun because I won't afford it.

Pretty sure my first trade this week will be:
Westhoff ------> Skipworth

Then after about round 5:
Hill -------> Quinn

Then in the same round if Raines isn't back soon, I will possibly go:
Raines ------> $400,000+ Gun.

I also got to think of the fact that Essendon will be playing Carlton and Skipworth will be unlikely to score anything over 70.

Man this is doing my f**king head in.

Thinking I might downgrade either Raines or Edwards (Shane) to a rookie, and then trade Masten for Gibbs.

Not sure that I need to dump Masten yet though, and maybe opposition teams will shut down harder on Gibbs from here on in.

Thoughts?

Doubt Quinn will be playing next week, check out the Essendon board.

Ive got my trades sorted out

Raines to Cheney and then Hentschel to skippy with 30k in the bank! pretty solid stuff!

What were you doing with Westhoff in your team in the first place?

What trades should i do? ? ? have about 460k in the bank

I do want to go Anthony--> robbinson i can't miss out on that cash.

What do people think of brett harvey... will he pick up to his form last year?

what do you think of leigh harding?

i don't know what to do...

For those of you thinking about trades next week remember after three rounds the players price will change.

I believe in completing early trades to set you up for the year. There is no point holding onto a player that will lose a lot of value and isn't performing.

IF YOU DO SOME GOOD STRATEGIC TRADES EARLY ON IT WILL MINIMIZE TRADES THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE SEASON.

I think, trade out Masten. He's coming back from injury and is only in 2nd year. Will be a great buy next year but he's got 60 and 90. However, he needed West Coast to dominate for his 90 and I don't see West Coast dominating this year. Will probably only average 60-70 this year.

Trade to Gibbs. It will save you a trade later on and Gibbs's price is going to keep rising. He is severely underpriced, into his 3rd year (the DT breakout year) and I don't think will cop number 1 tag (Judd or someone will get it).

Gee thanks, I would have never known.

Not for all players.

No trades for me this week. I wish I could but we only have 20 trades.

If we had 25 I could lock in two trades but unfortunately that's not the case.

Pretty happy with my team (bar one or two) but I think there is still a lot of improvement.

I will most likely use a trade to upgrade my backline, as it's looking rather shaky having to play two youngsters in Cheney and Petrenko for the time being until they, along with other cashcows, appreciate in price enough for me to upgrade them. Thus, i need those other 4-5 defenders, of which i consider to be keepers, to be consistent in their high scoring - each of which i am confident will do... except Malceski.

So it appears at the moment Malceski is my prime trade target as i don't think he's going to meet the scoring expectations/output that i think his price tag should warrant. I had big things for him, although fear Shaw and Mattner are instead being played in the sweeping defender role that Kennelly played so well before he left.

Plus i have another player in my sights anyway who i wanted to select in Malceski's place in my side initially, although they were injured during the PS so my hand was forced towards selecting Malceski as the replacement option. Seeing as though they've now come back and performed to my expectations, they look to be the suitable replacement. :cool:

Some wouldn't have.

My team scored poorly this week, but quite unsure what to do. My cows are pretty good. I'll put Hentschel on the bench this week for Walker.
Will be trading Raines for new cow in Cheney (if signs point to him still getting a game).

Heath Hocking @ 211k is a great bargain, will make a god 60K this week. Doesn't fit into my structure though. Harvey is killing my team, any other forward around his price (Deledio, Brown, Gia, SJohnson) would have had me 110 points higher and in the top 400. Bloody Harvey! :p

why are you in a hurry to trade out Anthony? He's not going anywhere. Neither is Zaharakis or Beams. Wait a week and trade to whoever out of those two scores the best. Seriously why the hell would you trade out Anthony now unless you direly needed to avoid a 0 in your midfield?

Haha ok Athomas :p

I have him in my side also and he's one of the few premiums that are letting my team down. My forwards are scoring quite high at the moment, with premiums Pav and Lids looking at finally hitting their straps following this round, and mid-tiers Houlihan, Skippy and Higgins doing likewise. However, Harvey stands out like a sore thumb amongst them, and it hurts even more to think i chose him over Richo, who i've always wanted to have in my team as he's an awesome DT'er.

But one of my golden rules is that you should never trade a premium for a premium unless an LT injury strikes, so i think i'll hold off and have faith in Harve's. :thumbsu: Plus, seeing as though i've already used 2 trades last week and will almost certainly use another this week, it seems wise to now hold off on the trades for a few more rounds as my team will then look quite settled.

Must resist...Malceski to Harding. Have to stick with Malceski and surely Harding can't continue this high scoring :o

Also looking at Anthony to Robinson/Zaka, but hypothetically if Robinson/Zaka makes it to 250k and I trade them down to another rookie at 86k I would net around 170k. My thought process atm is whether 2 trades are worth 170k, any thoughts? probaly will be mulling over this for the entire week

I'm really angry. My Brother's team made 1981 this week (without picking a captain)while I made 1821. It's his first year and here's a hint for anyone about his team, pick a midfield full of premiums. He's got Gibbs, ABC, Swan and he's also picked a load of good rookies (Cheney, Robinson, Beams). He was smart enough not to start with Raines but to go with Geary and didn't get Anthony. Next year I'll do my team differently. Premium Mids and heaps of Rookies!
