In: Fraser, Thomas, Medhurst

Out: Corrie, Brown, Cook

Thomas and Medhurst are almost certain to play, Fraser is rated 50/50.

I don't think Thomas is a certainty at all. Reports were he was extremely proppy at training and even though MM put him through a test, he didn't look like he had a chance.

It's all a bit early to tell considering we don't know who will come up from injury but i'd say thats about right Matty. Question is, is Fraser even a chance?? If not Bryan needs to come in to replace L Brown. Actually would probably be a good idea not to rush Fraser at all and give him as much time as he needs. The performance from L Brown was about the most pathetic display I have seen from a player in the B&W. I know i'll get canned for saying this but i'd add Shaw to the list of outs this week. He is so out of touch at the moment that it's ridiculous. I'd reward Blight for his good game on the weekend. I'd go:

OUTS: L Brown, Corrie, Cook, Shaw

INS: Bryan, Thomas, Medhurst, Blight

Agreed. So out of touch atm it's not funny. I thought last year even before the whole drink driving incident that he was not the same. At one stage he was our best decision maker in the team and top 5 for kicks. It was highlighted today by the commentators when he tried to handball over the top to Beams who would have run into an open goal, but missed him by 5 meters. He has turned that around completely. I know he has been injured and he will be back to top form very soon, but atm he just needs something to get his confidence back up there.

i heard hes still 2 weeks away:thumbsdown:

Where'd you hear that? I heard during the week that this was his last.

Malty probably thinks Corrie has gone past him now though.

With everyone else, the minimum needs to be:

Out: Brown, Corrie and Cook.

I don't care about much else, I just can't stand seeing those 3 wearing the same ****ing jumper I wear to the game every week. I'm embarrassed to be associated with those three, honestly.
Loved how Malthouse said he likes Brown is because he is versatile, yeah he can play completely shit in any position on the ground you want. You name it, Brown can play there, and play there to the furthest degrees of shittest possible.

out L Brown, cook, wood, reid, toovey, cox, corrie
in fraser, medhurst, bryan, trav, thomas, barham, dawes
and didak, mccarthy come in when fit, id even consider getting rocca in there as well for someone

I sort of agree, but I don't know what good it is going to achieve. He is a good player, he has proved that, but he has gone off the rails since the accident.
Clearly time off doesn't help him, his been away from the game for weeks now. I think he needs time to adjust to the pace.... maybe.... god I hope.

swing the axe again?

Trav is still 1-2 weeks away

also... 2 medhursts in? that would be epic!
lol in the medhurst

and why the **** not? two shit weeks swing the axe

Trav said friday he should be right for this week, i dont think he injury was all that bad it was justa good chance to drop him

i think that making 15 changes (well 14 coz medhurst didnt play)(2/3 of a team) in two weeks is a bit to many
in the first half of two games we kicked 2 goals

in two full games we have kicked 12 goals.

Honestly time to rip out those that dont want to play with any passion or any heart and replace them, whats the worse that can happen? we get belted again?

i guess ur right, make 'em earn their spot... like the saints and dal santo last year

Bring Blighty in.

Give us something to get excited about.

Thoolen?

There isn't a lot else back there to get excited about at the moment really apart from Blight...
If blight comes in and is stuck on a wing i wouldnt be overly upset, seriously could he be worse then corrie?

i know he couldnt be softer or as over weight

Thank god Thoolen's on the rookie list, or we might have even seen him as a realistic option.

The word on Fraser is that he has the typical PCL injury, which some players have played with successfully in the past, while others, including Fraser have had 1-2 weeks off, came back, then missed 6-8 as the injury worsened.

I hope they take their time with him, not the ideal situation to try out his fitness against Cox next week, maybe leave him one more week for the Port game.

So with that in mind;

In: Bryan (shudder), Medhurst, Dawes, Dick, Thomas (if fit)

Out: L.Brown (not much chance, but I can hope), Cook, Corrie, Reid, Wellingham (if Thomas is fit).

We need to create some form of forward line if Cloke and Rocca arent right to go next week, and it could look something like this, with those inclusions;

HF: Davis, Medhurst, Thomas/Wellingham
F: Anthony, Dawes, Dick/Lockyer

With Bryan resting down there at periods when Wood does the ruckwork, and with Lockyer and Dick rotating off the bench.

Our forward line today was terrible, with only Lockyer, Anthony and Davis looking anything like forward threats.
