Can we all agree that Caro was outrageously stupid to ask Benny if the AFLPA boss job is a bludge? Is this guy going to say yes to that after he's held it for years. Of course not! What a moron.

Anyway, at least Caro admitted that Cousins' hospitalisation had nothing to do with drinking. Which is funny because if he was warned last year, and she knows this, then she conveniently waited until he went to hospital for unrelated stomach issues, and then dropped the claims. Or made them up.

In regards to the innuendo flying about his summer, Benny shot that down. He said that leading up to christmas Cousins had some thumb surgery, then had some personal issues. The coaches had words with him about his lack of effort at training, and he improved and obviously is in great shape now. Said they were very satisfied about Cuz's summer.

For those that didn't watch, Benny also had a big rant about how Cousins just isn't that big an issue at the club. He is one player of many. Said the media have an obsession with him, but that the club don't need to hold secret meetings about him, don't need to have regular consults and talk to the leadership group. He is just another player.

At this Caro backpedalled and said that she didn't say that they held meetings for him, that they just warned him of his drinking. Benny again said that hadn't happened in his time, and that she was implying the club held meetings, which she was IMO.

Anyway, Caro pushed and said she could guarantee that he was told last year. Gale said it hadn't happened in his time at the club, or any of the current employees.

Did well, great to watch, I was particularly happy with how he said he was proud, not embarassed of the leaked plan. Good on ya Benny

A little off topic, Benny’s obvious raised eyebrow is well known to us all. But tonight under the glare of the studio lights was an obvious large scar under that eye, (between the nose, cheekbone and eye.) Is their a story behind this? I have never heard one.

Whats wrong with the AFL having two traditional rivals going at it for the first game of the year...every year? They need teams they can bank on anytime, no matter where they are on the ladder.

If they put St. Kilda Vs. Doggies, then this year maybe 50,000. But if they were both 15-16th then maybe 30,000 at most. Fantastic start to the year...

yeah think his starting to fear that richmond is finally moving forward together with Benny Gale back at the club, and the club working towards a plan to make richmond one of the powerhouses of the AFL again. Unlike Melbourne who have no members.

I can't recall word for word but I got the impression that Gale acknowledged Cousins had been spoken to previously.
The party line is now that Benny and the current staff have not raised the issue, not quite the chewbacca defence but not far away.

Why does Caro always have hair hanging in her eyes, is there some massive irregularity hiding beneath her fringe. Are her eyes affected by the studio lights or does the makeup person just enjoy her discomfort every monday night?

75k seemed a lot of memebers but if the 500k latent supporter base is accurate then no reason why they can't aim high.

Thought benny was making good progress with the makeup bird pre interview as well.
