You do know that Brisbane and Sydney had/have(?) salary cap concessions allowing I think a 15% higher salary cap to everyone else... During your premiership years too.

Is being backed by a corrupt league better than being supported by corrupt team officials?

What odds an NRL "stunt" designed to shore up the game in its heartland of Western Sydney and its new frontier the Gold Coast with the spectre of the AFL looming large ...

Loved how Gallop was quoted as saying that there had yet to be any decisions made .... but .... a betting plunge was launched into the wooden spoon ;)

Absurdly harsh penalties .

... Would love to see all the other clubs stand up , put thier hands on the bible and say that they have not had some dodgy dealings ;)

They used to I think...nothing on a GC or GWS level in regards to players...League doesn't have a draft either.....I don't follow things that closely anymore...but News Limited have basically propped them up financially for years...

BTW....I've been asking for years how it's possible Brisbane can field a near state of origin strength side season after season...long before Melbourne came on the scene...

Totally boring game. Cant even present itself as an alternative to Richmond when we are playing the way we are.

Should be good audience for thier Rugby League Footy Show tonight if even someone like me will tune in tonigh to have a look at it.

im sorry for ya tugg I know you're a fan, I recall workmates that were canterbury fans being devastated a few yrs back...If the salary cap has any integrity whatsoever than the penalties make sense...The club is gonna need alot of help from here, I don't believe they are financial beyond the NEWS Ltd lifeline...if that was cut and without an independant commission governing the game, god help their prospects if left to the mercy of the rival club chiefs
 
They really do deserve to get punished but this is just totally over the top.
Compare their punishment with what the NRL gave to Cantebury a few years back who were a shit load more guilty then the Storm and didn't get half the punishment.

Yes, the NRL is really after a Melbourne presence, they only wanted them for some exposure in Melbourne, but their plans went down the toilet when Storm dominated all the other sides from RL areas.
I am done with the NRL and Storm
