On the game/team plan, we have "20 rules" based around offence and defence. 10 are game plan based, and 10 are individual player rules. Wouldn’t go into details except it’s reasonably complex and detailed. Very facinating. Would love to know what they are

Also, Griff will "play in a couple of weeks." :thumbsu:

Said favourite back so far is Farmer, and one of the better draft picks and best players for the year, Nason.

Nice one Baz, I had suspected Hardwick was teaching this way and he had intimated at it once or twice, but good to have it confirmed finally.

I think it's the way to go with a young group...just keep drilling them on the fundamentals, show them on video every week how they could have played situations better, link the criticism to the fundamentals then just keep hammering them home.

We've got steadily better at implementing our zone each week and between that and the 'rules' the coaching staff have laid a good foundation for the future IMO. They've got quite a few things wrong, but look to be getting the most important things right. :thumbsu:

From the look of it, one of our defensive rules is to hold a player at stoppages - at least the umps certainly thought so.

Yet this kid is fast becoming the new whipping boy for the masses.

I find that so strange and have no idea why it is. Leppa said he ticks all the boxes. If we knew what they were (the 20 rules) then maybe he is one that that is right up there and will develop into what the club wants/needs. Sometimes im positive people just look at the disposal number column and just make their calls from that.

Farmer's defensive positioning is very good, he worked out the zoning gameplan as well as anyone, he doesn't get beaten over the course of a game very often, he constantly racks up one percenters and is a real team first defender, his run and carry has begun to show through on occasion and is quality when he does it, his ball use is solid enough and he kicks and runs to the places he's supposed to.

A lot of people don't see or 'get' any of those things.

Having said that, he's got a bit of competition for his spot, which can only be a good thing. Webberley and Connors have shown plenty this year too.

And he deserves to be. If Leppa rates Farmer as our best backman then the AFL might want to send the drug testers down to Punt Rd to test the coaching staff now.

If Leppa rates Farmer as having the most potential of our backline players then I fail to see it but pray he is right. Early days yet for Farmer but from where Im sitting it just appears to be another Richmond trading bungle.

We could of kept Shulze to help Jack up forward and delisted King or Hislop to pick up Nason.

Farmer is a spud......

Because the last two weeks he has not stopped his opponent and touched it around 5-6 times. Needs more time in the VFL imo.

How many goals has he had kicked on him in the last month? I don't recall many.

As for wanting Schulz back all I can say is :o

Sorry Rayzor just because he can read a whiteboard, and understand the gameplan/game rules, doesnt make him a footballer

Watch the game again and he cost us three goals from no composure, that fumble on the wing when he was on his own, was terrible.

If IRC that led to a bombers goal also, two goal turnaround.

If it meant not having Farmer then yes RT . I'm living that Rance has been getting a go up forward ATM but I do think we pulled the trigger on Shulze a year to early , there are alot that do also.

When Griffiths comes through or next years tall forward draftee or tradee comes through then the trigger should have been pulled on Shulze.

All done know and we have Farmer so fingers crossed Leppa is right hey.
