personally i was SHOCKED at how well he played! almost no major blunders, repelled alot of bomber attacks and showed more attacking flair then I think I've ever seen from him.

Unfortunately for Tom, when we play shite, he somehow manages to descend beyond the overall shiteness of the team and look ubershite. I'm one who has had to eat humble pie, and mutter 'well done Murph' Excellent game tonight on Davey, although Davey kicked a few, he repelled many Bomber attacks. Bravo.

Played great tonight but does anyone else have their heart in their mouths when he has the ball? Not canning him but not in out best 22, Gibson to replace. It's obvious winning delivers confidence in all players......esp T.M......is improving every week.

Glad there is a thread for his game, he was super impressive and did a lot of good things. His stats don't his performance any justice, he played aggressive and attacking football and was desperate in contests. Hopefully he can keep this up as he is definitely improving

I'm pretty sure guerra started on davey although i could be wrong. Davey was very dangerous as usual but nothing like what he did to us last time. I've never doubted Tom's effort, just his ability and he put paid to that tonight with an excellent performance.

Interesting game by gilham, 1 kick for the night yet kept hurley goaless, would have to count that as a win to the hawks

past 3 games he has played very well.

It helps he is able to play semi-loose (simmilar to the role which Tom Harley played so well for the cats)

He is no longer forced to take the bigger bodies and can actually use his awareness to position himself.

Ok, I was at the Punt Rd end and saw someone sweep across half back at the city end to cut off and take a mark. I said "nice one Hodgey" and at that moment realised it was Murphy!

A couple of guys looked at me at we shared a laugh. But it was a good sign for Murph, best game I've seen him play. Well done son!

You know - as he gets more experience he might get better and more consistent?

He, like Taylor, Osborne and quite a few before him have been the whipping boys around here for some time.

All he would ask is that you judge him on what he is putting out this season - sure he's made mistakes, but this season has been his best by far, and he's definitely in the 22, and amongst the best in our back 6.

He will be a very important part of our side going forward if we are to play finals.
