I still reckon he has a role to play at Essendon, but when he was dropped before last weeks game after having done pretty well in previous weeks I think it becomes pretty clear hes not seen as part of the future. Good luck to him if he goes - cant say I would blame him when guys like Welsh getting a game before him...

it wouldn't be a shame at all if we got a 3rd round pick and exemption from being raided next year. It would be a massive win.

Yeah I agree with Lance.

Nothing against Ricky, but realistically he either would've been delisted or netted us around pick #80.

If we get around #40-#50, and keep GWS' mits off Hurley, Dempsey or whoever else, then we'll have done extremely well.

If true, all the best to him. He's been a much maligned player the last few years, always first to be dropped and never heard him complain. He is no longer best 22 at Essendon so if playing for GWS gets him senior games then he'd be silly not to take it. If we get a 3rd rounder for him all the better, but if we get nothing then I'll hold no grudge.

Good point. Maybe Sheeds will put him where he will be needed each week - Ricky is outnumbered at Essendon by very good players anywhere he might be suited to play.
