Roo also talked about the clause and his mail is it isnt a concern. BACCS, do you honestly think a club legend like Roo wouldnt have strong connections at the club? We arent talking about Biglands here.

i'm going to view this the other way though. the fact roo does have strong connections with the club makes it less likely that he has a reliable source on this. or a source that he would compromise anyway.

think about it. how would you feel if the bloke you trusted to give some info to bleated it out all over the radio. it would soon compromise firstly his sources job, and secondly any sort of relationship he has with this source.

this is not the same as Caro or Rucci coming up wth an exclusive. anyone that feeds them info knows exactly whats happening to it.

so i would sugest if roo is talking about it, it's his opinion and not based on any inside knowledge at all. if he did know something he'd be keeping it very close i'd say.

There is a big difference in the source! Those were journos fishing for a story! This one comes from arguably our best players of all time, still very close to all aspects of the club, from playing group to the board.

I know you are not Ricciuto fan but no one can dispute that Roo would have more close contacts at the club than anyone else in the media and he would be fully aware what he should make public and what he makes public.

Look at the last decade; John Brown, Warren Tredrea, Cloke, Hawkins, Roughy, Franklin.

WCE didn't have a gun forward, but they had an INCREDIBLE midfield.

TBH I'm fed up with the whole thing. It's the same shit surrounding him every year. Even in years that he's contracted we still have to put up with trade speculation surrounding him, like last year regarding the supposed failed deal with Brisbane.

I'm also worried about his longevity, with the recent head knocks as well as his reliance on pure athleticism rather than skills or smarts. Between those two points and his goalkicking, which is never going to improve, he's starting to become more trouble than he's worth.

I'd play McKernan this week...

I havent read the entire thread tbh, but dont think this would have been asked.

This sounds really harsh, and hopefully a bit of paranoia.

Are the Crows being conservative with Tippett's concussion, or is there a chance they arent playing him because of the contract situation?

The Bock situation springs to mind.

I know the Crows need to focus on this years finals, and are unlikely to mess with a vital player, but it worried me that the outside Doctors cleared him, and the Crows didnt.

Then with everything else starting to blow up with the other rumours over the last 2 days its starting to look bad.

Plus the fact he went back to QLD to recover.
