Id do the Watts for Warnock & Lucas trade. Watts will end up an absolute gun, anyone who saw him in the u18's will see why. he just hasnt got the body yet but that will develop his speed is amazing and hes a good lead. just give him 2 more years and he will be a gun.

Warnock is surplus to requirements and he is injured half the time, and lucas i dont think wil be the player we were expecting him to be. Hes soft and his hammys are a worry. Id do this trade

How some people think Tippet is crap are dillusional.

Let me answer a couple of things i have seen, we have Casboult, no comparison Tippets been doing it for a few years now, Casboult has only started to walk.

Another classic below he's only kicked 39 goals, how many did Leigh Brown kick in a similar role????? Also ask yourself how many he kicked in a season when he only played 17 games from CHF and rucking. Tippet will be massive for Carlton, yes there are risks with his concussion issues, however Tippet and Waite will be very formidable and along with Mitchell taking the third backmen while developing will be huge.

I will go as far as to say Tippet will help us get to top 4, why? Because he will be a great relieve ruckmen to Kreuzer and an even better 2nd forward than anyone in the league.

Get Tippet to Carlton, priority one.

If you saw 1 Crows game this year and it was the prelim ill forgive you.
Played all season in the side that finished 2nd and kicked 39 goals.
Is a 39 goal forward worth 600k? No. Lynch kicked 33 in the 5th best side.
On average he had 0.2 more shots per game than Casboult who has played 6 games. 2 as ruck.

Plus all we've heard since he was drafted is that he'll play in QLD one day. He won't be a Blue.

Calling a 21 year old KPP who averages 18 disposals and 6 marks a plodder is more than a little harsh.
Watts isn't being shopped around as far as any of us know, so that's a total assumption. I'd agree that Melbourne would need to add a later pick to balance out the trade, but Watts was playing decent footy this year despite Melbourne's troubles. Warnock and Lucas barely played in a team ravaged by injury (though in fairness Knockers missed some decent time through injury) so I'd suggest it's not so totally unbalanced as you seem to think.

Watts was as good as Hendo this year, and I'm certain you wouldn't call Hendo a plodder.
I think the fact that Watts was taken at 1 has lead him to being completely undersold and unfairly maligned. Certainly not something working in his favour as you suggest.

You are kidding Watts is useless not even worth a third rounder, Whittnall won Carltons B&F playing a similar role, as soon as they put him on anyone they ran him round chewed him up and spat him out as many players did to Watts this year. That's what pisses me off. Everybody loves to remind us of our history with salary cap breaching yet you read bullshit like this that just could not happen. They want to hold onto Wellingham and Goldsack but don't have the money to match other clubs. Yet, Tippett is arguably worth more than those two combined on the market. It's just embarrassing some of the rubbish you read RE trading.

We prob don't need to whinge about it, cos it ain't any chance of happening. No chance. But some of the crap rumour/innuendo you read is laughable. They are talking about getting the young ruckman from GWS and picking up Tippett and Lynch as well... and they have been associated with Caddy also.

And they still have a couple of their own young players who havent been re-signed yet (Goldsack and Wellingham are the two biggest and only Wellingham is apparently looking at other options) and they must be feeling the pinch after re-signing all their big stars this year and then coming along and throwing 3.75-4mill at Cloke over 5 years and then they are still expecting to pick up new players in the draft?

I mean how thick are they not to realise that they are skating very close to the edge on very thin ice.

And Eddie McChins is out there slandering us and pointing at our salary cap and basically calling us cheats and then he has the majority of his premiership team re-signing with one of them earning a fortune over 5 years and we arent allowed to wonder about their salary cap...

Already had 4 years in the system and is struggling. Watts' problem isn't his body (ie Bootsma is a bit of string who has taken to the Top level like a duck to water), it's between his ears. He lacks confidence in a lower placed side where he should stand out. He'd probably crack if he came to Carlton and was expected to play a key position and kick 40-50 goals a year...

Relief ruckman? Since when did we need one?
How many goals did Leigh Brown kick? What has that got to do with anything?
If we go for Tip it will be to play at full forward. Not throw him around like Collingwood have Dawes.
When did I call him crap? Never. He's not a super star by an stretch and if you're giving up good picks/player and 600,000 + per season you'd wanna get a bloody star.
He would improve us, no question.
