Hird's comments on trade week radio were that henry indicated there may be other options and that essendon would wait and see how the trade period plays out.

Are the options a fiction in order to drum up any interest?

We mightn't get anything for him, but maybe he's not done. Port are losing senior blokes left right and centre, maybe he gets thrown in with gus?

don't know for certain nicho, the stream's a bit dodgy and they said they only decided to do it during free agency at the last minute, and it was supposed to start next monday to coincide with trade period.

as far as slatts goes

• doesn't seem too unhappy about it, knows his time has come.

• has had a bit of a chat with the power, nothing substantial as of yet.
• Just had a hip op, which i don't think anyone knew about.
• Port shown the most interest at the moment, sheeds and GWS not so much.

Port wouldn't be the worst fit tbh, especially if surjan leaves, slatts is probably the most like for like replacement in the league tbh.
