Eddie McGuire also threatened to sue footy commentator Stephen Rowe of Adelaide 5AA who falsely alleged the Pies had bribed an umpire in a bid to clear Nathan Buckley of a striking charge. Rowe and the station later apologised as part of an out-of-court settlement with the club.

That's a fair summary whether you are close or far away from it. The sniping at Choco pissed of Jenny Williams enough to write about it openly on thepowerfromport.com in a post in 2009/2010.

I don't have a problem with him criticising us when we **** up, but he snipes and sees it as his personal crusade to "fix everyhing". He is always running some personal agenda.

He may be a Port supporter but never underestimate the need of the Advertiser to sell copy. Bagging Port sells nearly as much as hyping Adelaide does.

If there was a viable alternative with 2 other idiots who may or may not barrack for Port Adelaide but could be just ever so slightly unbiased either way I am sure the club would explore that option.

I remember when living in Adelaide in the 90s, he became chief football writer of the Tiser after he was living in New York and I recall his articles being quite insightful and balanced. I even remember his articles being very 'literaturish', if you know what I mean. I don't read his articles anymore, even online, haven't done so since I moved to Melbourne in 2000, but judging by what I read on BF these days, he has it in for Port and hard. Is it his frustration as a Port fan showing through his articles? Does he have an agenda to see Port fold? What is it with him and why?

MSBU is Ferrethead's problem. If you are not sure, the M stands for 'massive'. I can't think of anything else other than dementia, lack of intelligence from doing unmentionables or lack of any credible moles in the PAFC, or all of these.

Then during the course of 2008 things started to get really ugly when he took exception with Williams trying to excuse us as a decent bottom 4 team and in 2009 (I think) when Choco called off a chance at finals mid-year. His problem is he doesn't let go. His articles self-serve to push his agendas and rationalise his previous predictions/opinions/tirades. He goes on and on and on, and has the terrible trait of throwing in nasty little remarks to bring forward his previous case.

It's become very painful reading his crapticles. He is bitter and amazingly arrogant, not to mention never one to concede his mistakes or admit he's wrong. I imagine the majority of people he interacts with on radio have twice his IQ and yet he bullies them away with his patronising, high and mighty pontificating, much as Wrinkles does. The thing that really betrays him is that when he speaks to Victorian footy people on their radio shows, he takes the same aloof, irreproachable tone, rarely displaying enjoyment, happiness or appreciation in his voice.

I'm amazed people tolerate him.

A good summary except for the bit about who listens. The majority have very little IQ and the few that put an argument to him have a much higher IQ, in which case he uses the power of the media to be always able to have the last say.
