I honestly don't think we lost out on that trade. Johnston won't make it IMO.

Unless i'm reading it wrong, it looks like Armstrong + 35 + 68 for Johnston. (And we offloaded those 2 picks for Walsh), i'd say we won that one. I'm with you, i don't think Johnston will make it, but i think Armstrong might feature quite a bit in 2013.

I reckon 22 + 30something will get the job done to be honest. Crows fans might not like it, but it would be better than them losing him for nothing. It might be a slight case of unders for us, but who knows. It's all speculation.

I know what he is worth to Adelaide and can give a half decent guess as to what he is worth on the market. Reid is contracted for 5 yeas so we can ask what we like and hold out for 5 years until we get it.

Tippett has left the crows. Marcus Ashcroft of the GCS said on SEN this morning that they have moved on. So that leaves Sydney and Brizzy. So no where near the bargaining power.

I hope you ask to much and we go elsewhere. Brizzy will get him in the PSD.

We are your best chance of getting close to his value, unless he decides its all too hard and goes to qld or if GWS were to enter the market.

Reid was injured and couldn't even train for a while after the Brisbane game (i think) earlier in the year. He's 20 btw.

There would have to be. Although the 3rd parties wouldn't mean much anyway if Sydney aren't willing to give up anything of value.

Well in that case, in my personal opinion, the best possible outcome for us is that we pull out of the deal and he leaves Adelaide for no compensation. Your club is just being too greedy.

All draft picks are risks. Whether they're high or low. Heaps of top 10 draft picks turn out being duds. If your club does the research I'm sure they'll unearth a star.

I disagree. Clark's better than Tippett. A year younger, a better natural footballer, and does great imitations of Chris Tarrant. I think he will be a real force for the Dee's over the next 5 years (Tippett might be for the Swans as well, time will tell).

You don't get them for free. You have to pay the contract amount. And as crows fans keep telling us he is getting paid 1 mil.

There is absolutely no way the crows would make that deal...we would rather see him walk for nothing to a club who is not in their premiership window...we will not boost a competitor without adequately being compensated. The club has come out and said this!
