Whether or not Faith has a good track record or an inside source is irrelevent to posts which suggest
Sydney lose Reid for pick 4 (Ignoring the fact that Melb would be stupid to trade Dawes + 17 for pick 4)
then send Pick 4 and 22 to Adelaide for Tippett...
So the assumption they go with, is that a promising 20 year old who is contracted and whose output is not far behind that of 25 year old Tippett is only worth pick 4. Whilst the uncontracted player that walked out on their club will somehow fetch 4 and 22.
Just a sheer lack of logic from them, then this sort of suggestion is praised as being "a good idea" or likely scenario by such luminary's as Faith.

I would be utterly gobsmacked if Reid went anywhere. The sooner this trade is resolved, the sooner the bullshit will stop.

Im thinking the only reason Melbourne would consider trading pick 4 is due to picking up viney with pick 26...still reckon they'd be stupid to do it

Has Reid ever shown signs of homesickness before? If yes, then why would he have agreed to a 5-year contract. That would suggest to me that he ****ing loves it in Sydney.

That's a good point. They might feel they got a steal with Viney at 26 (definitely a steal), and are therefore quite happy to be more experimental with pick 4. I, for one, hope that is the case as it may then end up in our hands somehow... dreaming again...
Who knows mate Young people change their mind all the time
we will know more if Dawes gets traded or not.

He really does seem to love it in Sydney especially 5 year contract. I have no doubt collingwood would sound him out and Sydney promptly saying sod off. Making Faith's assumption correct. o get rid of a 40 game 20 year old ChF who's contracted for 5 years would take something monumental from collingwood to get across even if they had pick 4. Then if they sign young they would have to clear cap space. In short collingwood could ask but very very slim chance he would go out of all the players on our list.
It would work pretty well for the Pies they could leave Cloke deep have Lynch play the Leigh Brown role and Reid planking them at CHF.

They've also publicly stated they want a mixture of youth and experience during this trade period...the youth is taken care of with viney and also the mini draft selection

I'm a supporter of the 2012 Premiership team and I couldn't care less whether we recruit this 'so-called superstar' of the game or not, but I'm going to be extremely pi**ed if we lose anyone from the 22 or an up and comer! Paying overs to AFC for an uncontracted player is absolutely absurd. I'm sure we could find someone else if it falls through.

Even if true no one has to answer or agree he is contracted
