It really beggars belief that the media is running interference for Trigg and the Crows. I really can't see what's in it for them.

One thing that this whole Crows saga has shown is that this thread is not paranoia - it's playing out in front of everyone with the complete lack of scrutiny of the Crows board. The Crows have got the media locked up because they are 70% of the supporter base and they will use the media to protect them at every opportunity, or freeze them out the club and therefore make them useless as a media person in this state.

This is why the Crows 'bad' stories will only be broken by Quayle, Wilson, etc as they are interstate and the Crows have no leverage over them. That's when the smear campaigns start et al Wrinkles and Stupid demeaning interview with Emma Quayle some weeks back.

The question (that's been asked several times before) is, what do we as a club do about it? Playing nice won't work, it just plays straight into the Crows/media hands by letting them pretend that they are fair and equitable in their reporting, when they clearly aren't.

Do any of you recall when Trigg was a sports commentator on the TV?

He used to tell a story on playing Port Adelaide & how best to defeat them.

He started off with how he first came up as a centre opponent to Russell Ebert, when the ball was being bounced, Ebert would punch him in the gut, leave him doubled over & proceed to win the ball driving Port into attack.

His solution to all things Port Adelaide was to do to them first if you could, or if not, retaliate even stronger.

Obviously this philosophy has carried on to his career at the crowbots, get in first to belt the opponent.

Twiggy must have overheard an actual footballer like Paul Bagshaw tell that story at Unley one night and claimed it as his own.
