As long as Collingwood were there, it wouldnt matter what Melbourne team they were playing, they'd still get a full MCG crowd

The ANZAC game is a very important and significant game in the AFL fixture

The AFL should schedule two quality teams or the grand finalists to play on that day.

Its inappropriate to allow a team such as Collingwood to play in that game when you consider the appallingly disgraceful record it has in Grand Finals.

I am fairly certain that the diggers and our defence forces honoured our brave and elite personnel.

Yeah I agree. It will probably come down to being an economic decision of how much funding the AFL lose from the government versus how much damage Essendon sitting out costs them. Its a no win scenario, I just think its appalling that the players will get with this when there is evidence that they have done nothing wrong and have been proactive in checking that they weren't doing the wrong thing. I'd also query how prepared any politicians in this country would be prepared to cut off AFL funding given how many voters they'd be disenfranchising.

The Australian Sports Commission that divides up the Federal government money has a strict policy that for a sport to receive any financial assistance from the federal government they must be signed up to operate in accordance with WADA. I beleive that this is also applied to one of funding grants for infrastructure now as well.

Heads of pretty much every major sport are at the presser behind the sports minister. Crime Commission has uncovered doping links to almost every sport in the country, at both the athlete and team level. Use of peptides.

Rest is just fluff about the ongoing investigation by ASADA.
