Probably Mascherano

they have stuff all centrebacks as it is, they're not going to sell their best one.

xavi is on the verge of retirement, probably his last season coming up. song is trash, busi, fabregas, iniesta and thiago is the way forward for their midfield. and guys like sergi roberto and thiago's younger brother rafinha likely to move up too.

The talk on Twitter atm is that Liverpool will accept a 17m pound bid for Carroll which they will use on signing Papadopoulos from Schalke.

Heard that too, I'm still not convinced we'll be getting over £15m for Carroll but a deal with West Ham looks like being sealed sooner rather than later. The Papadopoulos rumours make sense, we're in the market for a CB or 2 and at 21 years of age he fits the clubs youth policy. From the sounds of things several clubs are after him so I'll be interested to see how it unfolds. Hopefully there's some substance to it because he's up there with Nastasic and Varane as one of the best up and coming CB's in the world.

Cesc is simular to Ronaldo. Left EPL because they always wanted to play/had connections for Barca/Madrid. And both loved their EPL teams.

Ronaldo will only come back to the EPL for Manchester, Cesc for Arsenal.

But in saying this, I thought Xabi Alonso would never sign for a EPL team other than Liverpool, now he is linked with Chelsea.
Being linked to Chelsea doesnt mean Xabi will play for Chelsea. No way will he dog us like that. Or at least I hope not.

The Greek mkII.

Wonder where Lewandowski will end up, my bet is still Bayern.

Cavani to Chelsea... reported 42.5 mill thank you.... absolute gun in his prime at 26, leading serie A goal scoring. Just come to us kiddddd!

Such a good get for Chelsea if true. I rate Cavani as the best pure striker in the world behind Ibra.

Real Madrid's president has promised Bale to Ancelotti if he comes.

Would be awesome.

Always thought he was destined for City though, not getting my hopes up yet.

So...according to reports overnight, we are interested in Rooney lol.

Let me just say that the club has already quashed that rumour (which came from Sports direct news - our owner is the owner of the sports direct chain).

There is just no way in heck we could afford his transfer fee let alone his wages.

Apparently he said in his book he seriously considered joining us before he left Everton but that's about as close as he would get to playing for us IMO.

Less than 1% chance of that ever happening - he'd be on probably 3-4 times as much as the next best paid player and as we have a wage cap system in place, it is just unfeasible in every sense of the word.

Sports Direct have pulled that article and issued an apology for making it up. Publicity stunt to get more hits if anything.
