You do have a point.

I said there was no chance the whole time, even when he wasn't signing for Arsenal and he was looking miserable at their training camp I still stuck by my opinion that he would stay. I had the idea that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of Henry and become an Arsenal legend...in a way he sort of did follow in his footsteps by leaving to win trophies before he got too old.

I was in completely shock when I saw Van persie holding that United shirt up, even had to google it because I thought it was photoshop prank or something.

Difference is that Fabregas loved Arsenal. Obviously loved Barca above all else but he did love Arsenal and has actually spoken about returning there one day years down the track.

Fabregas moved for his personal connection to Barca.

Van Persie moved because he wanted trophies.

I'm pretty sure RVP loved Arsenal too, grew up supporting them. In the same boat as Fabregas, both left for their own reasons.

Cesc is simular to Ronaldo. Left EPL because they always wanted to play/had connections for Barca/Madrid. And both loved their EPL teams.

Ronaldo will only come back to the EPL for Manchester, Cesc for Arsenal.

But in saying this, I thought Xabi Alonso would never sign for a EPL team other than Liverpool, now he is linked with Chelsea.
