Yay another loyal player wants out. Mckay re-signed with us last time for less money than he was offered to go home to Melbourne. There is a bad stink coming out of our club atm with how it appears to be managing the players. There is somthing wrong with our culture. Sure we can make excuses that none of it was our fault, but I call bullshit. Bock, Tippett, Gunston, Davis, Vince and now Mckay. Something is rotten.
Its obvious that there is a less than happy group at the Crows. Another player possibly wanting out isnt something to crow about.
Unhappy playing groups dont play good football.

Those players are quality. There is daylight between them and Mackay so I wouldn't be to worried about losing Mackay. Honestly I would rather see Tambling in the team than Mackay.

And out of that list, Gunston is the only one that left for reasons other than money, and that was for mummy. It's not as doom and gloom as it looks.

Loyal or not you still need to perform

About time that the club has got aggressive around list management and this will go along way in removing inconsistent performances not just from game to game but also qtr by qtr

Blighty didn't care about loyalty when he cleared the decks

I have no issue with the club moving on players like Vince and DMac if the coach wants to put his faith in Crouch, Grigg, Lyons and Kerridge to deliver our next flag

It's now a professional performance based industry and the players understand this

Amen to that

Good grief... Mackay gets shopped around, while contracted, against his will and subsequently rethinks his position. This is somehow symptomatic of a broader problem within the club. What a load of rubbish.

Loyalty is a two way street. Mackay showed his loyalty last year when re-signing with Adelaide after getting a much better offer from Melbourne. How is his loyalty rewarded? By being shopped around just 12 months later.

When the club shows itself to be disloyal then the players lose confidence and start questioning their own position & desire to be where they are not valued. This is exactly what went wrong with Crazy Vossy.

I don't blame Mackay one bit. What the AFC have to worry about is how many (and which) players they have got offside with their trade week antics this year.

He hasn't even left yet. He may not even leave.

He's just reconsidering it.

Players know how the game is played and that loyalty factor, well....they see it every Thursday. When they get paid.

So another player who people publicly lambast..... including you Vader, wants to leave and suddenly we are in the wrong. Give me a break, if this story is true then fair enough let him go. Like Vince he has never lived up to the hype he has had and would be happy to see him traded fr a worthwhile deal.

FAITH need some news buddy! Are we looking for another ruck? Edwards? Any word on the other mystery player, or the club at least? And is Smack going anywhere?!?!
Was told edwards was close on frid.
Give me til tmrw for the mckern situation

Adelaide Crows @Adelaide_FC
Re TV story tonight: David Mackay was not shopped around by the Crows. Brisbane asked about him, David said he wasn't interested.
And if he was interested? Seriously do they think we are 10 years old?

But those are all just words. Nothing of substance just a chance to hypothesise and slag off the club on another hypothetical.

DM offered as trade for Polec by AFC without his knowledge. Can't blame him for reconsidering his future. You are right to be worried about how this will affect playing group

Come day one of preseason, the playing group will be fine.

A new season will begin, a new set of challenged and a new playing group.

Bollocks. Vince didnt leave because he was treated well. LJ didnt re-tweet what he did cos he is happy.
Vader said exactly what I feel about it. McDermott on AA said the same thing. Shopping around the players like they have (Vince, Wright, Lyons, Mckay) does have an effect on the playing group.
We dont need this at our club at the moment.
And unlike you I expect my club to excel. I wont.be satisfied with finishing 4-10 every friggen year.

The only thing the club needs to worry about is shopping players and not closing the deal

What like we have been for the past 10 years when we didn't shop players around?

Time for a change. Accepting mediocrity or wasted potential is not acceptable.

Beginning to wonder if you exist solely to troll/bait me. Either way your behavior borders on cyber stalking, which is just plain creepy.

Don't flatter yourself Vader, just imagine what I'd say if you were one of the MOB (and you as sure as hell aint one of the MOB).

So, you can go on and on and on and on and on and on about how almost all of our players that were not gilt edge draft picks should be banished from the AFL. Apparently that isn't cyber bullying?

OK I admit it, I'm a bad, bad, man.
