So is it possible then if Clarke actually gets some continuity in the F50 that he could become a genuine forward? That way Griff would be the Ruck/Fwd and we could play all 3 in the same side.

The E girls made that mistake and they have gone backwards as a result .
We have been shown where the game is going by Port and we have a very good combination with Sandi and Zac
Griff when he has got back to full fitness can play Sandi's roll so we can use them in rotations during the year so that Sandi is fit and firing for the finals series .
I would keep Clarke based more in the forward line where we get better use of his talent .
The biggest concern for me is the forward line and an improvement of the midfield support players .
Suban ,Clancee , Danyle , Crozier , Hill and Sutcliffe need to lift their output

Sheridanhas already put on some seroius weight \ muscle but by the reports needs to harden up .
That will come as he builds confidence in what his body can take but the coaches need to guide him and convince him and that can only happen when he is mentally strong to take the game on .
I have the belief that he will mature into a fine player at AFL level . He has the eqipment for the job now its just a mind set that needs help.

Honestly I think both him and Crozier need *at least* another 5kg's at least to be effective at AFL - sticking tackles and not getting pushed out of contests. Both are a good 7-10kg's lighter than someone like Duffield, while being the same height, and he's not exactly a solid body.

This is what I've been thinking the last few weeks too, I really really want Griffin in the side. If Clarke can continue to contribute with 2-3 goals every week that's more than what Tabs or Ape could do and gives them the chance to develop at their own pace in the WAFL, at least for this year.

The interesting one will be when Gumby becomes fit and available for selection. Needless to say we won't play 3 rucks plus 2 tall forwards.

Any talls should be repeatedly busting the door down in order to win selection. Griff is starting to look likely, but I'd want Tabs to do what he did on the weekend a few more times before being thrown in.

It couldn't hurt his prospects.

I'd just hate to see him go down the same path he always gets dealt in getting the call up against an elite side, having a quiet game and then getting knocked back to the reserves.

he just needs a fair bit of mongrelness in him and positivity, i just never see him chasing his man or crash some packs. He gives up too easily. Shows no confidence even look a j.patton hasnt had great games but puts in his body on the line.

I was sitting in the visitors stand just behind Peel's interchange bench.

Early in the game Josh Simpson was taking the kick in after a West Perth behind and stepped on the line when he kicked in. The umpire pinged him and Josh had a massive dummy spit and was dragged as a result.

I think it was Simon Lloyd (The guy dressed like an NFL coach with the head set and cap on) grabbed him by the arm when he came off and gave him a stern talking to.

This had an effect as Joshy played a blinder in the 2nd quarter before disappearing again for the rest of the game.

Bushy was right about Tommy Sheridan. His stats looked great but he had zero impact on the game. Griff, Kepler and Morabito did well, whilst Tabs was good at a WAFL level standard only.

Ibbo and Menegola were okay, whilst Apeness was as rusty as on old shed door.

When the 2nd quarter started I heard a familiar voice behind me. I turned around to see RTB and Michael Prior sitting right behind me.

Michael left at 3/4 time (probably thinking they had won) and Ross sat by himself for the last quarter.

Ross checked the stats regularly on his phone and watched the game in silence. As soon as the siren went though, Ross stormed out of the ground in disgust. A few Cardies supporters spotted him and started yelling expletives at not only Ross, but all of the Peel reserves players and support staff.

It was a quality performance by a bunch of mainly bitter and twisted older people, who were obviously unhappy about the rise in utility prices and public transport fares in the state budget.

What a sour lot of old scrotes they are up there.

He's not really a pack-crash guy IMO. He's put on some weight this year but still looks really skinny through the core and forearms compared to someone like Patton (who is admittedly a beast). I think Tabs will always rely primarily on the N.Riewoldt school of hard running, hard leading marks.

In defense of the ducks, at least they go in very hard when the bread is in dispute. No hesitation at all.

Really, really harsh assessment on the kid. It's a bit hard to chase when you've been on a 150 metre lead and some klutz delivers it at your toes, over your head or on your head.

In Clarke's defense, and it is a shaky one at best - he's playing Naitanui's style game better than Naitanui.

Maybe we have found the solution, next part of his development - bring in griffith and sandilands in the ruck and permanent forward being clarke with Pav. If he kick average 2-3 goals a week then he has done his job. As long as he is accountable for his man and not let him run amok. Get griff to play in ruck and around the ground.

Clarke at CHF or Goal Square when he is at CHF and Rotate him with Sandi in the square.
