For those who know, why does the bone coming through the skin make it a worse injury?
As much as that guy is an idiot, people will go way over the top with reactions, carrying on like George has been killed or something.
It looks like his leg collided with the support though and that's why his leg did what it did.
My emergency nurse source says breaking the skin significantly increases the risk of infection and also means surgery must happen quicker which can cause soft tissue complications (whereas if the skin isn't broken they can do a closed reduction and wait for swelling to decrease before surgery)For those who know, why does the bone coming through the skin make it a worse injury?

But he never returned I just realised and he had insufficient bone growth due to the compound fracture.
