If a player is delisted, does he become a delisted free agent? Or does he have to nominate for the PSD?
he becomes a delisted free agent. If he is out of contract, like Jaksch is, he has to enter the PSD.

When looking at one to one trades you only need to look at one thing, the first thing being given away and the first thing being given.

All the rest is bullcrap.

In the above scenarios we are giving up pick 7 for Jacksch.

Much much much too much to pay for that player.

I think it could be a product of being in an under pressure developing GWS side to be honest and he hasn't had a lot of games to acclimatise to the pace.

Treloar averages 70% efficiency. Whiley 64.5%. Both average 3 clangers per game though Treloar is a ball winner and Whiley has been a tagger. Whiley gets a far greater % of his possession contested which would affect his efficiency.

Sorry, I meant what's his disposal like in NEAFL games? Not mad on another tagger to be honest, I think we have enough of them at the moment (Carrots, Curnow, Armfield + it's a good position for developing mids to play). But if he is just developing in that role and actually plays as an inside ball winning mid that tackles, I'd be happy IF his disposal is much better in the NEAFL.

Armfield is apparently on the trade table and could be going to the doggies

I was feeling a bit blue seeing as the prevailing opinion was that we couldn't improve our list without getting a top 10 pick. So I thought I'd have a look at the premiers and see how they build their side.

Anyway its interesting reading and might spark some discussion.

Hope this works (never attached anything before) :)

Seems like a healthy mix of successful first round picks and great trading for need to me.

How much of this list was Pelchens?

Hawthorn certainly has the mix right. Interesting to note that the only player on that list that they parted with a top 10 pick for was a proven player who had played 150 games including a premiership.

Where has someone come out and said we're giving up 7 for jaksch and him alone?

Everything I've seen has up getting at least a top 20 pick aswell.

If we can do
7 + 28 for jaksch and 18 and 21 I'd be happy with that considering the apparent evenness of the draft from 5-20.

Really hope we stick to this deal (even though #21 looks likely to be pushed out to #22) as opposed to acquiring Whiley.
A three for one could be good for us but the last piece of that puzzle has to be right.

I wouldn't mind if we just held off on Jones also. Offer up our fourth and don't budge.
What happens, happens. There may still be players around that ~#45 mark.

Looks as though when one deal gets done, the rest will follow soon after.
We may officially lose Jeff today.

It says something about there development as well which why Osborne could be a real good pick up for us last season

Is Jaksh worth us using our highest pick since the Yarran draft?

To put a bit more perspective into this, If the reports about a FA deal for Essendon are correct they will finish up with 2 picks before us and one between purely for the loss of Ryder.

We also lost Waite for nothing (I know, not the player that Ryder is but important to us just the same) and, despite them being banned from the draft(?) they are likely to do better than us in it.

Gotta put our faith in the recruiting dept but i have to say this scenario is not what I'd hoped for going into trade week.
