Wow Marsh is a talent. 41 with the bat yesterday and was looking very good. Then today he has bowled seven overs and the Indians cannot hit him.

Maybe he can't produce those balls without throwing the ball and actually gives a shit about trying not to bowl with a suspect action

Ashwin bowls a carrom ball without chucking....it is the easiest version of the 'doosra'. Even Maxwell has developed a version of it (well so he said).

he could be anything within 3 or 4 years

Agreed. Be interesting to see whether he stays at number 6 though. He is a superstar in the waiting.

Maxwell could probably be our frontline spinner as well according to Maxwell.

That isn't the point. What has Murali been doing? Isn't he the spin coach? Teach him how to bowl a few variations. I struggle to see how hard that is.

He's non-threatening insofar as he bowls the same type of ball everytime.

It took a massive deflection off Pujara's inner thigh and back onto the stumps.
Have you even been watching?
If this isn't good off-spin bowling, I don't know what is.

Did you miss all the false strokes he made him play prior to that which contributed to the wicket or...?

As an offie he's bowling the perfect line and length to the right handers, I guess McGrath was innocuous too because he kept hitting the same areas?

Strange comment, he's been positively dangerous.

McGrath hit the same spot bowling at 135+ and had the ability to move the ball in either direction.

Poor comparison.

I think he moves up the order. Maybe to 4 or 5 where he has time to bat out a whole innings without worrying about batting with the tail

I said he was innocuous. He has managed one wicket so far and has bowled some decent deliveries but he is hardly bowling hand grenades.

Maybe they should get you in mate? Obviously a talent if you reckon you can get more out of Lyon than Murali.

Maybe 5. We do have a lot of number 3 and 4's coming through. That said he is a perfect 6, where he commands a spot as a number 6 bat. Needs to convert though- hundreds.
