Why is everyone so confident Walsh will fail? Don't get me wrong, I hope he ****s up in a big way but everything he has done so far suggests he will do alright.

Tim Watson started 7-4 and was 10 goals up against Hawthorn in a game at Waverley...

I cant wait until we start winning games again so this whole doom and gloom constant hoping for other team's failure ends.

I have a competition in me. I want no one else to succeed.

Next thing you know we will be celebrating a team being beaten by 119 points in a game we weren't even involved in.

Lol:
  • Port are losing because they are not tackling enough (except for in one of the two games where we actually had more tackles).
  • Crows are winning because they are the best at contested possession (ignore the fact that the two teams they have played so far finished 11th and 13th for average contested possessions in 2014, while Port's two teams finished 1st and 3rd.
Sure, it's not good enough that we are losing contested possessions, even against the best contested sides, but the analysis on these numbers is so shallow that I'm surprised they recognised the numbers as actual figures rather than just funny looking squiggles on a page.

I haven't seen much of the crows playing so far this season and they may very well end up having a good year, but, so far they have flogged a team at AO that hasn't won a round 1 game for five years and are as flaky as any going around, and they beat the Pies by 20+. Collingwood barely got over Brisbane the week before and Brisbane went on to lose to North by 80+. So far the crows haven't done anything that they didn't do last year except get early wins because of a soft draw.

i think it was aimed more at firing us up than pumping up the crows.

It's hard to tell what Rucci's on about when he writes these sorts of pieces. It tends to play well with your prototype Advertiser reader though.

They've been giving the advertiser away free at my local foodland a few times when I've shopped there recently I just shake my head and say naaaaaaaah

And if Paul Roos orchestrates a miracle at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, next week's headline will read, "SACK WALSH: BRING BACK SANDO."
Even if he just manages to hold em up and turn it into low score bore fest i doubt we'll hear "Da Crowies have been worked out rah rah rah"

In all seriousness, this is why football media is becoming just as shit as social media.

Off the back of one or two results careers are written off, legacies are tarnished and clubs' entire long-term football strategies are decried as broken.

IF we were to steamroll North Melbourne the hacks will breathlessly declare us to be in the groove and primed to potentially win our next ten games.

IF Stephen Rowe's favourite team was to suffer the patented Paul Roos anaconda choke they'll be deemed a flash-in-the-pan who now have to face the grinding realities of a 22-game season blah blah blah.

One week at a time is cliche, but it really is all there is, with a team's fortunes only accurately judged over much longer periods of time.

To be fair they took the foot off the peddle with a long way to go against Collingwood and a lot of people have North as contenders (themselves included obviously...) so they are going ok.

The issue is the ****knuckles of the world like rooch not comparing apples to apples.

Isn't it written by McDermott?

Turned off 5aa this year, crowie is just too annoying, best thing I have done in ages. I didn't mind it when Bone was on, he seemed to be more bipartisan unlike idiot, can't stand idiot, way too smug much like Crows supporters at the moment, they are all up and about and putting the boots in, life is rosy when you are winning. Winners are grinners and the losers can please themselves.

RussellEbertHandball might correct me here but an old poster called D_One used to say the crows were on a two year lag behind Port Adelaide.

They are up and about like we were after two wins under Ken in 2013.

But if we were anywhere near as annoying I'll go he.
