In regards to Aish more than likely leaving Brisbane at the end of the year do you;
A) Keep giving him games and developing him so he can increase his trade currency for when he inevitably wants to go home

or

B) Not play him at all, if the situation is as dire as it appears and he doesn't want to be there then why gift him games ahead of someone who actually wants to play for the club?
They'd have to keep playing him, otherwise they'd get bugger all for him at the end of the year. If you aren't playing, you ain't worth much.

he was pick 7 and will be traded 2 years later. he will almost certainly keep his first round value; if he tries to go to a team that has very early picks (ie melbourne, st kilda etc), Brisbane won't have those picks handed over to them, but they won't hand over those even if he plays. if he tries to go to a team that has late picks, i wouldn't imagine they'd be too much bickering from the Port, Hawks etc side

Judd. Anyone who picks Hodge forgets how brilliant Judd was through the mid 2000's... Unstoppable. Gun. Has just become a dirty little turd, particularly later in his career.
I don't forget, I have never rated Judd's foot skills as anything other than average. Even at his peak people would forget a lot of missed targets because of the spectacular nature in which he got the ball and ran away from the pack. Judd has been a great player and his game against Brisbane where he announced himself is one of my favourite but I'd take Ablett, Bartel, Mitchell and Hodge before Judd from 2001. Swan and Johnson not too far behind. I know people may laugh but even at his peak I often said to people Judd wastes too many kicks for my liking to be rated so highly.

Wowee.. The behavior of some Carlton fans on their forum is disgusting. Suggesting, some even insisting, that Yarran's punch was a retaliation to racial abuse despite no actual evidence just because it suits their narrative.

Gee a black man punched a white man, I can't imagine any reason for him to do this other than being racially vilified. (this is sarcasm)

With you on Brown, I cringe when he is compared to Carey

If anyone is making that comparison, ask them to kindly step outside and then give them the Old Yeller treatment.

Brown was awesome in his prime. Pity it didn't last that long due to injuries. I'd love him in his prime at Essendon right now.

No doubt, he had 3 really good season 07, 08 and 09. I just think he is talked about in the same vein as some of the absolute top echelon of players and ne certainly doesn't belong in that category.

He's played about half of the number of 8/10+ games that Pavlich and Riewoldt have played in their respective careers but was lucky enough to play for a team that carried him through 3 grand finals where he made a name picking on players half his size.

He's a likable guy (the people's champion as some have already described him), courageous as they come and capable of some of the best footy of the last 15 years but his numbers do not stack up and it is embarrassing that he is compared to the all time greats when players with records that leave his for dead get ignored.

During his era of playing CHF I would rate Tredrea, Riewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich and Richardson all ahead of him, as you say its the 3 premierships that has magnified his career, but he was just a bit player during that period, Lynch and Bradshaw were there main forwards and he just beat up on smaller opponents. Very likeable character and has been great for the game but severely overrated in my opinion.

Richo is the one for me. His football legacy has been destroyed because he is an imbecile and 7 think Richo continuing to embarrass himself is a good thing for their ratings.

He was an outrageously good player. 800 goals 551 behinds and god knows how many out on the full. Would have kicked 1000 without trouble if he could kick the thing.

Whose on field behaviour was pathetic and contributed to the Tiggers having no success.

Talented freak of a player, but has only served to hand the mantle of biggest sook in AFL to Jack Junktime Riewoldt.

I should bloody well report this post.

Bullshit.

That he stuck by Richmond despite the overtures from Geelong is much more important than the on-field sprays that his teammates deserved.

If you think his tantrums had no impact on the team, fair enough.

I just find it odd that he was the only player who routinely got away with it. And funnily enough, his team was routinely shit and routinely undisciplined.

Nah, only won a BnF at CHB and CHF. Only stood up in finals too.

He only gets talked down because Lloyd gets talked up.

I think his numbers were probably hurt by having Lloyd in the team but I'm still not sure that he had the physicality (either the pace or the strength) to start from the goal square for a career (in the way that Riewoldt, Tredrae, Pav and Brown all did).

He was suited to the gut busing leads up the ground and then wheeling to bomb the ball either at goal or to someone closer to goal.

He'd be almost the perfect player to slot into our current forward set up.

How he didn't get AA in 2007 still baffles me.
