I did back in November but just rewatched it after your post.

Wow! I know it's just the WAFL and his best highlights but given our list deficiencies this could be an inspired selection!

- Athletic and covers the ground quickly for a taller player (most of our others are slow)
- Fantastic overhead (unique in our forward line)
- Excellent kicking skills (both feet!)
- Looks a dynamic, attacking player rather than another 'vanilla' player with no standout qualities.

Yeah, makes me stop and think, what made him slide so far down the draft order, or furthermore not even be drafted in the first place:confused:

Then again, Jeremy was taken in the rookie draft and look how he turned out.

Jeremy really struggled with his fitness early on and was even sent away by the club IIRC to fix his issues. Mitch has struggled with injuries in the past, so maybe both are just very unprofessional in their preparation and approach to football. Maybe after a bit of maturing, clubs were willing to give both a shot..

Mitch has some real x factor that we lack so, SO badly.

Everytime I see Jeremy clunking them I squirm in my chair and want Mitch to hurry the **** up and get on the park so we can see what he can do:D

lucky the crows never gift games. Not even to useless duds
Well it depends who you ask, some believe (not myself) that Martin was pretty useless but he got his fair share of games last year.

Although now that it's post Sando everything has changed and any blame can just be directed at Sando of course and Walsh does no wrong (and that's also not a shot at Walsh for those reading that might think otherwise).

Obviously haven't had the pleasure of seeing Osborn play, but scarily, he'd only be a few injuries away from getting a game in our side.

Captain of the Eagles and playing well at full back.

Be interested to see if anyone else wasa to have a crack at him. From what we saw last year he isn't really suited as being a KP defender and better of as a 3rd tall which we have plenty of.

Noble last week was asked about ROB and his ability to play down back as an option. His response was that we drafted him purely on his ruckwork and his second efforts as a ruckman. That's his role in our team.

Having a David Pittman-type sure would not hurt, though.

At least Martin had shown a modicum of talent to slightly justify those games. Only way Osborne was going to play any AFL games, would be if we had an injury list of about 20.

Then we will be making Carlton and Brisbane look good as we will be close to trhe worst side in the entire AFL.

Surely injuries to Jacobs, O'Brien and Lowden would see Osborne getting a game as a ruck unless we want to trial T.Lynch as a full time ruckman :p

None of Osbornes game is at the AFL standard.

He is not even close to getting a game and has not dominated one SANFL game.

If he plays more than 10 AFL games, I will buy everyone a crows membership.

I agree Alex

I watched him a few times last year and I honestly believe he would struggle to get a senior SANFL game if he was at any of the 8 traditional SANFL clubs. Unless there has been monumental improvement in his development this year (which I doubt) I can't ever see him playing an AFL game.

Suggest you go and watch him then if you are basing it on last years form. There has been a huge improvement from last year to this year. The most pleasing thing I have seen is his ruckwork improvement.

Staggering that we rucked Angus Graham for the bulk of last season while Osborn sat in a forward pocket

Osborn was injured on and off last season. He has always been earmarked as a forward who can then be quite handy in the ruck. He is really using his size quite well this year so far.

Would love to know what's changed this year. He's improved out of sight. I can't believe that he's just suddenly learnt to play footy, or that his body has held him back THIS much. He's looked a player this year and would be ahead of Lowden in the pecking order right now.

Coaching changes instilling belief is my guess.

I actually think Osborn is the more natural second ruck option on our list atm rather than O'Brien.

I love ROB and think he's a 200 gamer, but can't really see him as a complement to Sauce.

He's not the complement to Sauce, he will be the new Sauce down the track I think. They are very similar type players.

It's not staggering if you saw Osborn play last year. He made Gus look like Shaun Rehn in comparison.

Well he's still on the list and Gus isn't

If that was the plan then not rucking him was stupid given that winning the reserves competition is not a priority and we were average even with Gus rucking
