Hes kinda in no mans land atm. Neither one of our better outside runners, nor on inside/on-baller (tho thats his origin, supposedly). Not a hff, not hbf. Hes not a bad player, just a bit, well, in no mans land.
Just misses that pass too often for my liking.

He played a ripper game.
Highlight was his goal at start of q2. Just because he worked harder than his opponent (D Swan) and when he ran on to it he executed in a calm and clinical fashion. Like what the good sides do.
That was how we won. Calm, composed and clinical. (most of the time).

I hate this bloke with a vengeance. He has been and remains a part of the problem with us. In saying that yes he has been pretty decent this yr.
In fact hes been a good upgrade on what we had.
Trouble is if you seek a better version its not that hard to find.Do we want a hard running super quick great skilled upgrade who has a defensive side to his game??. Play menadue then. within a short space of time this kid WILL most likely be a better player than Grigg.
Maybe with some of our players who have been so poor for so long they are lost to me. Maybe with these blokes objectivity is not there. Iapologise for being so pessimistic, 30 yrs of the same sort of things does that to you.

Been very good this year and excellent on Sunday. Can't remember seeing a helicopter or hospital pass once this year. Needs to keep it up. A couple of good games doesn't make a season.

Post 2012 I started to think our side has outgrown him.. this year though he is getting back to that 2012 form.. whether its a change in role due to the addition of Hunt and McIntosh.. It's good to see him playing good football..

Shaun Grigg is a good player, not great but good, occasionally he can play great games like on Sunday and has been pretty consistent since joining Richmond, never understood the hate for him, best part for me were the strong marks out in front when under pressure.
