I seem to be the lone ranger here, but if we give up 2 x 1st rounders for Treloar, then they better throw in some steak knives our way.

Very good player, no doubt, but he aint Judd good.

Awesome
Do you know how the club feels about our depth in the defensive half. We have KPD covered. But what about if guys like Batchelor and Grimes go down long term? Are we intending to draft guys around the 190-192 cm mark who can play those roles?

Someone like Sam Gilbert via FA would be a better option.

Cover for Chaplin, Batch and Grimes at value plus can assist the likes of McIntosh with aerial link play out of the back half plus third man up aerial defensive support to help out the likes of shorter Houli's where we are a little weak as well as give the mobility a boost for our taller brigade.

29 so can be utilised with Chaplin and then later replacements arranged via trades/FA as available tailored to suit

Maybe Tom Bugg or similar?

Bugg & Treloar for 1st round 2015 & 1st round 2016 & possibly a player like Astbury.

I could live with that.

Just need Francis to find a few more diamonds in the rough with late picks & rookies.
Wouldn't even throw in Astbury. And upon thinking about it more I'd maybe ask for Barrett over Bugg, but Bugg is uncontracted so it's probably more doable

Still would want Motlop over Treloar.
If Yarran wasn't in the picture then I would too, but Treloar and Yarran covers two needs, whereas Yarran and Motlop only covers one

Thoughts on Stevie J people or has this been covered?
Has been covered a page or two back. The two strong opinions were "list clogger taking the place of Lennon and stunting development" and "good for a year or two to teach young players"

Sam Gilbert is probably the worst player in the AFL

I'm on the fence, definitely has the talent but we'd need to be sure we're having a tilt at the flag next year.

I think Yarran is being over rated. He's soft and a quitter if things aren't gifted to him. Would rather Motlop alone than the other two together.

Isn't the entire Carlton team like that atm though?
