"The closest Treloar will get to Richmond, is when he drives down Punt Road on his way to Collingwood"

"The Treloar/Collingwood deal was done a very long time ago, Treloar's Manager is a liar"

- Greg Denham
Peter Blucher was Tom Scully's manager, so yeah, he is completely full of shit.

You're wrong. I don't rate Tom that highly and don't like his attitude but he's a pretty decent ruckman/forward. In 2012 & 2013 when he was fit he was very good. He may be no good without Ryder but you can't say that he has been exposed without him based on this season as he played with a knee injury this season while he was on the park. Last year he had a full ankle reconstruction and hasn't been able to get back to his best.. he may never get there again. My point wasn't who is currently better anyway, rather that Bellchambers has shown more ability at his peak than Witts. Which he 100% has done. Either you didn't see him at his best or you're overrating Witts.
Well that's obviously going to be the case isn't it seeing as TB is 26 and Witts is only 22. Given TB has done nothing since 2013 and has serious questions marks over injury and on his capacity to play without Ryder I would seriously question has ability to get back to being a reasonable AFL level player. Witts on the other hand is already pretty decent and has a lot more improvement left in him - he's also a much bigger man than TB fwiw. Right now it pretty much a no contest that Witts is a better prospect over the next few years than Tb, sorry to burst your bubble :(

He was 23 in 2013.
So would I.
So was Peter Street.
Witts is pretty shit, so is Bellchambers currently. You don't seem able to grasp my point though judging by your responses.

Neither of them will be involved in a trade for Treloar so let's move on.

It's an argument of potential vs track record.
It's like saying Fletch is more valuable than say, Jeremy McGovern. Of course Fletch showed more ability than McGovern but no one in their right mind would bring in Fletcher now.

Absolutely the kid is a jet if my club wasn't such a schmozzle I would hope we were all over him.
I wonder if we may get involved for mcbean with an early second rounder?
He is contracted and Richmond will want to keep him but I can't see him getting ahead of Reiwoldt and vickery and I don't think astbury or griffiths have same value.
Mcbean would play every week at Essendon.
Best buddies with Joey too

Bellchambers probably won't be because he's no good and worth nothing, Witts might because he's 22, highly regarded as a young player, originally from NSW and they need a ruck for post mumford.

Lol 17 years difference in age vs 3. A 40 year old defender is clearly past his prime, a 26 year old ruckman is not. If he gets a good run at it he has every chance of being a good player, he still has time. What a ridiculous comment.

Why is TB even being discussed itt. Essendon have about 0% chance of trading him to GWS because Treloar doesn't want to play at a club that is on the bottom of the ladder and has an indefinite cloud hanging over its head. There are 10 Victorian clubs and Essendon would be outright last on any players list (that's right, including Carlton!)

Essendon posters need to stop trolling this very serious thread with trades that will never happen

So I have a source with the Pies. Info is usually good but a good loyal trooper and never gives info before news breaks. Even then its side commentary.

Anyway, he says that Treloar hasn't nominated a team. The media have said its a done deal simply because the money the Pies have offered and on the t's & c's is better than any other club offer. By a bit.

No one knows where KB got his info from. What it may be a reaction too is more money the Tigers will come into due to Chris Knights' retirement. Its believed that the Tigers planned to delist Knights and place him on the rookie list due to his talent mixed with his ongoing injuries. Their planned TPP took this into account and when he retired instead, it provided more money to offer at the front end of the Tigers' offers.

This is all just pure speculation however, and it still remains a possibility KB is spot on.

KB needs to stick to inventing hair brained ideas or rule changes that will screw the comp even more

I thought rookie wages were set at $80k a year (plus any extras for AFL games played)? I can't seem to find anything stating that though so I'm probably wrong. I might have just read it in another thread somewhere and believed it. If that is true though, him retiring won't affect Richmond's salary cap because they'd still have to draft another rookie.

Who believes that re Knights? 2015 is season number 3 for him at Richmond so surely he isn't contracted for 2016.

From there if the difference between signing Treloar or otherwise is Knights on the rookie list or gone completely why wouldn't you just delist him instead of offering the rookie lifeline? Perhaps it was just the wording?

Yep
I wonder if there is any possibility.
Early second rounder might be valuable for tigers while mcbean is better than we can get at that pick.
