Dogs ended last year minus a coach, a captain and lost their best player to the dreaded ACL on the eve of the season.

They beat Sydney in Sydney and handed us our heaviest loss of the Hinkley era.

They also have wins over fellow finalists WCE, Richmond, North Melbourne and a 10-goal drubbing of Adelaide under their belts.

Downplaying their achievements by pointing to the draw is as hypocritical as it is churlish.

Had double ups against the Saints, Dees, Brions, Eagles... Aside from whatever other good performances they might have had that is hardly a challenging fixture.

After round 5 they havent beaten anybody of note (unless North counts as noteworthy) they beat the Eagles in round 1 at Etihad on the return leg got slaughtered by 80 odd points, round 19 given our results this season says more about us than it does about them to be honest and I wasnt intending to be rude they have a fantastic list which looks to be the goods in years to come.

But fully expect the Camries to take em apart Saturday

Crows haven't beaten WB in Victoria since 2007 - It did happen to be at the MCG though.

If Adelaide finish top 6 they are getting a 2/2/1, the best a top 6 side can get. And somehow out of that an easier draw still. There's more chance of my wife running into a super model and bringing her home to share then Port getting a 1/2/2 double up next year.

Sorry to have to bring this up but the cows, who finished tenth in 2014, got the tougher 2/2/1 split themselves. They doubled up on Geelong(3rd after minor round, 5th after major), Port(5th, 3rd), West Coast(9th), Suns(12th), Lions(15th). They were a bit lucky in that our and Geelong's 2015 were less than our 2014 but that's how it goes.

I checked up on the other 7-12 teams from 2014 and the splits they got were :
Essendon - 2/2/1. Richmond - 2/2/1. West Coast - 1/2/2. Collingwood - 1/2/2. Suns - 1/2/2.

Apart from the splits the AFL still attempts to keep certain games doubled up. As with Collingwood this can mean an attempt will be made to double them up, in order of priority, with Essendon, Richmond, Carlton and Melbourne. With only Richmond having any success this could mean they will get 1/2/2 splits for a fair few years, unless they get into the top 6. I can see neither Melbourne or Carlton, possibly Essendon too, leaving the bottom 6 for a while.

The 2/2/1 split went to the teams ranked 7th, 8th and 10th last year.
