Rapt for him, would of been interesting to see if he would of been retained for next year had he not been givin a chance in the tagging role.

Remarkable improvement, and fantastic season. Becoming one of our more important players. To play that well after being crook and losing so much weight so quickly a remarkable feat. BJ your a star!.

It just goes to show what a big role attitude can play in a players development. The determination that he and Nahas have shown since coming to the club and commitment in undertaking whatever role the coaches ask of them has been exemplary and it is obvious that his team mates respect that a great deal.

I still wonder how much Brad Scott's mid-season back surgery has played in this rejuvenation. The timing just seemed too coincidental in his switch to all-out tagger. My gut feeling is that it was Crocker's call.

Apparently Hardwick went all Hitler in Cotchin's face after the game. A mate works at the 'G' and got me the footage.

Going by the footage behind him some of the players wore stilettos? I'm tipping Vickery which would explain his missed kick at goal AND why JMAC looked to try and dance with him and NOT tackle him.

To think most had him out after this moment bar a few.

At the time this killed all momentum.
Fast forward 11 months and 3 weeks and he bosses Cotchin in a final.
How could one have predicted this turn around?
Amazing.

NORTH Melbourne tagger Ben Jacobs has revealed he required a hospital check-up two days before shutting down Richmond skipper Trent Cotchin in Sunday's elimination final.

Jacobs suffered a bad case of gastro in the week leading up to the final that left him unable to train and even prompted a hospital visit on Thursday.

The 23-year-old lost between three and four kilograms due to the illness but still managed to keep Cotchin to just nine possessions in a performance that was a key factor in the Kangaroos' 17-point win on Sunday.

Get him down to a Curry house this week please. Dodgey Vindaloo and ban him from washing hands. He'll be skeletor shutting down and 'infecting' Hannebury with a disposal deficiency virus.

Great game by Jacobs! Captain pea heart should be stripped of his captaincy. Nine disposals is pathetic but to only manage three tackles when you've been offensively shut out is inexcusable. Too often goes missing in the big games. Polar opposite from spitter, threw himself into contests and tackled ferociously.

For every disposal Cotchin got, Spitta had a tackle ;)

That's insane !! his fluids would have been screwed, what a great effort Benny.

I copped gastro this month and was in hospital twice, off work for two weeks and couldn't eat anything except those hydration icy pole things. I'm still stuffed. For Jacobs to cop gastro and even get out of bed on Sunday, much less play is outrageously impressive.
