Really? Serious question. I've been on the Collingwood board asking questions about Treloar myself because I've never really seen or noticed enough of him to know whether he's worth what we're oging ot have to give up to get him, but Richmond's best player?

the only fact we have to go on, is that Treloar nominated Collingwood as his destination of choice. Outside of that, we have Damian Barrett on the Footy Show back in April, "leaking" that Collingwood are making a huge play for Treloar. Anything in between is pure guess work/rumour/speculation.

Fair enough. Speaks volumes about the quality of Treloar I guess. Anytime I got around to watching a GWS game, I noticed Shiel for more myself, but hey, sounds like Treloar is pretty handy himself.

Why are you guys into Yarran, Bennell and Stevy J? You guys lost the contested possession by 33 on the weekend and those 3 players don't even know what a contested possession is. You should go hard at Jack Redden, Contested possession/tackling/clearance beast. Would fit the Tigers well I would have thought.

Over the course of the season, contested ball wasn't as much of an issue as outside pace/need for a small forward. We consistently had Miles, Cotch & Ivvy doing really good grunt work, it just didn't happen on Sunday.

That said, no reason we can't get both inside & outside talent.

Shiel is also an excellent player, and I believe he was our first target earlier in the year until he re-signed. But that said, Treloar is definitely quality, and he's consistent. Could see him picking up a brownlow somewhere down the track.

Apparently on SEN - we've offered 2 first rounders AND Ben Griffiths for Treloar.

If last fridays selection showed us anything then that is Griffiths is held in very high regard by our coaches so with that in mind I think its clear to see that the proposed trade is complete bullshit.

Not that he is untouchable of course but unless we get an offer to good to turn down then Griffiths won't be going anywhere.

I don't know, I'm just stating my opinion from watching GWS games - I don't pretend to have any idea about the inner goings on at clubs. They have a lot of impressive players and will be a dangerous team in years to come.

If you disagree, that's cool - I don't mind, just reporting my thoughts on Treloar to someone that asked.
