I haven't seen a lot of Anderson play but the way the Hawks forum is reacting they certainly think he can play and don't want him to leave. There aren't any "He's a spud let him go" comments.

Maybe we should start talking up wright in case anyone is reading then. Hes a solid player. Really like his footy smarts. Absolute jet hope he stays.

Yep then his first game back in 2014 he did his shoulder which required surgery.

He was still good enough to make the round 1 team of Hawthorn this year.
They rate him, highly no doubt about it!

I'm not sure who brought it up but here is the first half of the Indigenous all-stars vs richmond 2013, Jed is no. 17.
Also playing: Cey, Betts, Hampton (no. 22) and stiffy pops up with three goals, and i remember thinking he might have a good year, but only played the 2 games lol.



Jed lays a strong tackle on Martin at the 6 minute mark.

Yes but none that would have significantly affected his fitness base. He could have played more games but Hawthorn chose not to pick him. I don't think he's played any great AFL games out of the 10 he's played.

I'm not saying we shouldn't trade him in if he chooses us, I'm just saying he's nothing to jizz about yet.

Surely we'd be high up the list of preferred destinations though considering he'd play 22 games just by being better than a complete spud.

I'm not saying they are but "gun" and "jet" have been thrown around when he's done nothing yet. He's an upgrade on Mackay with potential - that's all.

With all due resecpt to David Mackay - he plays reserves next year unless we have plenty of injures.

If we can get him for a pick between 40 and 45 I would be ok with. Some people started talking about pick 13.

I'm happy with the top 18 we have, its the rest of the 22 that lets us down. 3 good players in trade week that fill our needs fixes that. If Anderson comes over I like the prospect, hard at the ball and man while possessing speed and outside run at the same time.

We have a glut of inside mids atm, but losing danger and most likely thomo at the end of next year, we need to keep a few around. I'd rather a team with a bunch of inside mids and only a few outside players than a team that relies on 1 inside mid with a heap of outside runners not getting the ball out to them.

Hendo and Dmack are some of our essential outside mids, no wonder we are struggling in that department. Don't get me wrong, Hendo can be ok, but some quality outside mids would soon see him not getting a game.

We are so close to closing the gaps in our squad, we just need those last few pieces of the puzzle and we will challenge the best teams.
