If the draft is even beyond the clear top 4 live picks (Weitering, Shache, Parish and Francis) then having 10 instead of 5 might not make that much difference. And given how many list changes we've made so far, having the extra second rounder wouldn't hurt.

#4 Francis
#10 Oliver
#23 Slider (R.Clarke/Weidmann/H.McKay etc)
#25 KPP
#41Nyuon/ Rioli
#60 M.Brown
+ Rookie upgrades

No where here does it say a club can trade a player to another club without the player's consent.

True. As you've also discovered it's very hard to prove either way, but the strongest hint is this line:

“I talk to (Treloar’s manager) Peter Blucher all the time. Peter knows that this is not free agency. People can nominate where they want to go, it doesn’t mean they’ll get there.” - Graeme Allen.

Interesting then that Collingwood improved their bid for Treloar in the following days.

We need to see some serious changes in this whole nominating a club thing. The line between asking for a trade and being a free agent has become quite blurred.

Perhaps, with at least 2 teams in each state now, they could allow a preference for a state and then have to take best offer.

If Port are prepared to pay that price who cares.

I'd take 10 and run.
So we would have 4, 10, 23 and 25.

And 23 + 25 could become an 8 thru GWS? Not too bad.

Can't see how Saints are better off here. They lose 5 and get 10????? And they potentially lose 25 which many were thinking they would get along with Carlisle.

Prefer 4,5 & 23 rather than 4,10,23,25. Dixon more valuable than Carlisle? Piss off. Carlisle can play at both ends for starters.

Would rather the 4 picks in the top 25 because it means we can delist an extra plodder. (Hams, O'Brien, Browne, Kav, Pears and Dempsey all still unsigned).

The draft is only shallow after the top 30 anyway.

Key forwards that kick 2 to 3 goals a game are a rare commodity especially if they can manage to do it in a side that finishes 16th.

Yeah that's the line I took particular note of but that could be the old PSD thing.

In any case you've raised a point that off hand I thought would be easy to disprove but wasn't. :thumbsu:

Charlie Dixon: games 65, goals 94...

:/

So, basically, code for 'opposition supporters don't post at all'?
Saints supporter keep coming in saying "give us what we want, or Carlisle goes to the PSD, despite the fact he said he would not walk to the PSD". It's an effort to stop that crap.
