Probably because he has an injury interrupted year this year but the kid would be very handy for Carlton. The trade probably also lets Carlton trade in a host of players from GWS so it may be a bigger picture trade for Carlton.

I reckon Kerridge will end up a very good mid.

Problem is he is too similar to guys like M Crouch, CEY and Lyons. All of these are ahead of him right now. Not to mention Grigg is another option.

Get him to a club that needs a decent sized mid and he will thrive. Too good to play most of his footy in the SANFL.

Bottom line is, it's a bit early to be gloating. No trade has gone through, and there has been no mention by anyone anywhere of Mackay being involved in any trade other than by you.

If we get Menzel in a deal involving Mackay I'll issue a full apology for doubting you of course.

I also said menzel will be a crow. I said this last night. And today as u have seen it is all over the shop. He will be a crow!!
As for Dmac there are talks regarding him with a Melbourne club. Quote: what are my options as i am further down the list then last season!

Agreed. If he didn't get injured in the preseason I dare say he would have been given opportunities before most of our other mids but unfortunately for him he did get injured. Good luck to him if he does go. Or if he doesn't.

Makes sense for Carlton to move him for slight unders now if he's not happy and they face losing him for less next year when he's out of contract.

Very very happy with the trade period if this goes through. Build the destination culture and they will come.
