Do you believe st Kilda would have done the trade if they knew about this? No way!
I believe McConville kept it quiet. I am more than happy to be proven wrong but if the saints are meeting with their lawyers it is bye bye McConville.
What happens to Carlisle?
Essendon get him back for 3 first round picks.

Even if it is fake or a joke or something, this should have been disclosed to St. Kilda. If it was Wizz fizz, why wasn't it disclosed by Carlisle and his Manger to the Saints before the trades?
If the Saints did their proper due diligence - and considering this is a guy they're going to pay 700k to and were willing to part with pick 5 to attain, you think they would've - then they would've known about issues like this if they had asked, well, basically anyone. Not about the video itself, but it's not exactly a secret what Jake likes doing during his time off... not that there aren't 200 other AFL players who are the same.

Sucks for Saints that he stupidly decided to film it this time.

So every club should call ACA before a trade to see if they have a story?? If so, why would they say. Breaking it the day he gets traded, gets more Coverage. More money for the show.

There is a difference between due diligence and this.

Bloody hell what a storm in a tea cup. ACA should go back to reporting on neighbourhood disputes and sting operations on grocery stores featuring the shaky hidden camera. Such a rubbish story.

The only difference between the news story today and what players like him get up to most weekends is that he filmed it this time.

Embarrassing timing for St.Kilda with the release of a video, but if they didn't know about Carlisle's "reputation" for lack of a better word before they did this trade, then they didn't do enough homework. Most likely they did know and didn't care enough for it to sway their pursuit... until the public were also made aware.

There's a reason why the Bulldogs were wavering in their pursuit of Carlisle. If they knew, St.Kilda could've, and probably should've, known.

There is a difference between knowing someone parties, and knowing there is evidence of them doing drugs if true.

What should club get court subpoenas of all computer, telephone, is, etc.... Records to know what a player may have shared?

I would call that an invasion of privacy.

If anything it shows what Carlisle and his manager is like.

All a bit premature thinking the Carlisle trade is done and dusted and ONLY St.Kilda's problem.
Trade ikely to hinge on the Transfer paperwork being approved, provisions regarding which include appeal and multiple avenues for rejection AFTER submission.
Typical feralness from opposition supporters trying to sink the boot into our club when we are a clear victim.
In terms of liability STKFC are third in line beind McConville & EFC.

If AFL players have party reputations then it's highly unlikely they are drinking water all night. And if they are drinking alcohol all night it's every chance to effect their skinfolds and performance.

I know nothing of the Carlisle rumours so I don't mean to validate them. Just saying it's hard to have one without the other.

I have a lot of mates that have never touched drugs, play VFL level, and sink heaps of piss.

I say it is easy to have 1 without the other.

Not everyone that drinks takes illicit drugs

but if you have a pill or some coke you'll wake up feeling fine and wont effect you to much if you sink heaps of piss as you say your consuming alot of carbs and sugars not to mention feeling like shit and hooking into the maccas

Anyone see these curve balls coming.

Dodoros finest work
Rookie pick > Lovett > Carlisle & Williams > pick 5 > ????

Fair few gloaters in here. Not sure why?

So a young player rode a rail... Not condoning it but, **** me! He's 23..

Got nothing to do with Saints or Essendon.

Also, don't see how a trade can be reversed.. If he passed a piss test then he's clean. Saints did all they can and to be fair, the AFL can't really ban him.. For all they know it was mates mucking around with sherbet.

So how bout us Essendon fans not revel in this considering how much shit we've been through the past couple of years.

So you decided to deliberately misinterpret and head for the extreme end. Thats lovely.

We all understand that any player achieving a top 10 BnF finish when their club wins a flag means they still wouldnt even make best 22 at those super amazing Horks.
Afterall, champions like Taylor Duryea, Suckling, Stratton or Liam Shiels types are just so far ahead of a fit and in form Craig Bird that he wouldnt even be in the mix.

Gosh, those horks, they're just so damn amazing.
Congrats on winning the golden dutch rudder for today.

Nice deflection. You said Bird would be player 11-22 a top-4 club.
I replied and said "Bird would be up to a top-11 player at a top-4 club? Yeah right".

Tell me again how that's deliberately misinterpreting what you've said?

Bains obviously gets along well with Sydney and was able to convince them to do a deal that gave them very little advantage. I'm very happy that we got out of this with a first round pick intact.

Lets see your hero pull off anything like it. He wins for the moment, but it wont help you trade good players into your club in the future.
Went a little early...how's your new hero going?
Talk about locked and loaded...

just when I thought I was outta the thread they pull me back in...:)
