As published on my blog site aflmockdraft.wordpress.com here is my Top 50 AFL Mock Draft. It has taken into account all of the academy and father-son pick movement. New to bigfooty but I work in the TAC Cup and watch as many games as I can each season including the national championships. I also have knowledge of who many of the players have met with and I have a strong interest in recruiting. I will have 1 more update before the draft next week and look forward to the discussion around this mock draft.

UPDATE: 23/11/15

Good work, a little different but seems to make sense (although we are supposedly into Ben Mckay so might not let him slip past our first two selections)

Does your knowledge exceed just the tac cup or do you have a good knowldge of players interstate aswell?

Also how strong is the link with white? Twomey and anderson has linked us in the past how strong is your info?

Cheers mate good presentation aswell

Agree with 1990 Crow. If Crows take H Mckay with 1st pick, think they will take Balic or Mathieson with 2nd. Burton will be an option with 1st pick if H Mckay already gone.

Would love Greg Clark with our 2nd pick. Snoop Dog also has us taking him there. Do you suspect we are actually looking at him or just a guess?

Nice effort, but I suspect the Dogs will take McKay instead of Dunkley as we do not need any more midfielders at the moment.......

I do think he is a very good chance to go to the dogs. I am very interested in where he goes because many people see him as a defender but he wants to be a forward. It would be interesting to know how that went down in interviews.

Our coach tends to value versatility quite highly so if he sees himself as a versatile swingman that would count in his favour.
We may well take two talls in the draft so versatility will again count in his favour if we consider this draft overall

Crows won't take H.McKay and Burton. One maybe, the other likely a mid or key defender.
Their 1st pick was the one that was hardest for me to come up with but I believe their game styles could compliment each other and the rest of the Crows forward line. Burton has spoken a lot about wanting to become a midfielder at AFL level, idolizing Fyfe and Pendlebury. If Burton is still available at their 2nd pick I can't see Adelaide passing. Home state and a huge talent.

Burton will never be a mid. Knee won't allow him, and hasn't hasn't shown any signs of being one.
Both players you've selected are pure forwards. Given the current forward line of the Crows, and the holes in other areas, unlikely to happen.

Thank you for the compliment. I am not aware of of who interstate players have met with apart from the obvious and what's been reported or what the player's have said publicly.
The link with White is mainly based on being one of the best available but I'm aware Cal has linked White to Port before. They are also interested in tall forward/ruck Luke Goetz who is on the Bulldogs permission to train list.

DraftMe do you know who West Coast have met with/shown strong interest in?
I am not actually aware of anyone that has met with them. Just the usual names commonly linked to them like Clarke, Hibberd, Rioli, Cunningham & Fiorini. Rioli could be a really good fit as a genuine crumbing forward who has the tank to apply pressure acts all game.

We can use both tall forwards and defenders, so would be very surprised if he goes past our picks if he is still available.

Definitely more of a guess. Just think he could be a good fit adding to their midfield depth. Elite size, leader but lacks explosiveness. I'm pretty confident he will still be available at the Tigers pick.

One of the best available. His range is probably 30-50. Many people don't see him being much more than a small forward but he was an elite clearance player at TAC Cup level who has great instincts. If Hawthorn don't pick up Rioli early, then they would love to get Kerbatieh at 42, have shown a lot of interest. Biggest knock on him is his aerobic endurance which is not a result of not working hard but probably not working smart. He will do well in an AFL environment.

I just can't see the blues taking 3 mids. Yes we need a lot of everything but being next years draft is meant to be midfield strong and this year key position strong and we'll be down around the bottom again I would think key position would be what we go after. Instead of Milera/h.mckay. Instead of gresham(I hope we get him later) /Collins or burton. Our 4th pick Gresham.

If Adelaide pass on H. McKay I am sure Carlton would snap him up without a second thought.

Really nice attempt, some impressive work there!

I think Gresham and Clarke would be great fits for us at those picks. Would personally like to see us take Burton as well but I wouldn't be disappointed with Milera.

I'm close friends with Tommy Coles family as well and I'm really confident whoever picks him up will be onto a winner. Would be a great get for you guys.

Any idea who North have interest in/ have spoken to? Assume the likes of Clarke, McKay and Balic are all in their thinking, but anyone else of note to watch? Genuine interest in Cunningham or just speculation?

Good job, but I very much doubt that North would pass on Aidyn Johnson at 32 in order to take a half-forward. Think Harvey, Ziebell, Higgins, Garner, Wood, Black- the latter three are still young and all better than Mason Redman, but still can't get a game! Johnson has the outside speed and class we don't have much of, so I think he would be a much more realistic selection. Apart from that it seems really well done, although I think North will target one of Kieran Lovell, Greg Clark and Sam Skinner with their pick 41 rather than Will Snelling.

Thank you. With Redman, he's listed as a HF because that's where he played in the champs and where he will likely start his AFL career but long term I see him developing into a full-time midfielder. His U18 Macca's Cup stats look like 21 disposals (73% efficiency), 5 tackles, 5 clearances, 4 I50's per game. He's the same height and weight Nat Fyfe was when he was drafted, so like Fyfe, he would do well to add about 10kg muscle over the next 3 years. Early on, most people thought Fyfe would remain a lightly framed 3rd tall forward in the AFL so who knows how good Redman could turn out to be.
