Assuming Logan is out this week, we may struggle to hold the line. Maybe the fact that he has been playing with a calf injury for a bit may explain why buffalo and the cards were able to win at the line of scrimmage.

Rewatched the first washington vs eagles game from week 6ish. We were really unlucky to lose that game, so many plays went against us. Drop city for us, and they held onto everything. Fairly optimistic we can beat them in our house, even though we have been terrible at home this year. Unfortunately they have desean and we will likely be without bennie and maxwell.

It's going to take a while for us to be in a position to turn this around now. We've had two catastrophic drafts including failed first picks, and we've traded away early picks in the upcoming draft.

Had we maintained the quality on the roster that we had drafted pre-chip and drafted well the last three years we'd be contending right now.

Listening to chips press conference, he mentioned the losing the rb matchup in coverage. Disappionting game and season for Kiko.

Listening to chip over the past 6 weeks I think Sam Bradford is resigned, else he gets the franchise tag.
Cooper is probably gone
Sanchez is probably gone too.

Domeco is probably gone unless he takes a small contract.
Tough decisions on Thurmond and carrol.

I think getting Sanchez resigned will be huge, as it will allow us to use franchise tag on Thurmond if he does not resign.

Peters is clearly past it. We need to draft a RT, move Lane to LT and get Peters to play LG. Not sure of his contract situation but he shouldn't be on the type of money he currently is if he is going to only play guard for us. Gardiner was actually our best guard before he got injured so maybe he stays at RG. We could possibly pursue a guard in FA, I would also prefer to try and get a WR in FA because at least we have some idea what they will be like. Going to be a long, busy offseason. Lots of issues that need to be rectified.

It's simple and yet we failed at it. What did we do this off season?

FA splurges, wasteful trades, and poor drafting.

The road to success is always simple enough. The execution is the tough thing. Here's the thing though- you can't absolve the failure of our franchise by suggesting that I couldn't identify talent better. No shit, that's why I'm not earning millions doing it. You pay someone to make judgment calls about talent. If the person paid to make the judgment calls is wrong, they need to be accountable and be moved on. It's that simple.

Now that it's clear the judgment calls the drones don't even know what they're arguing.

Be nice to bolster the list with a few players that can actually catch the ball with some consistency, that would be a good starting point, I struggle to recall a year when the team has dropped so many passes. Yes, it was wet today but it was also wet for Wash & I didn't see them fumbling & dropping all night. Momentum is everything & two huge drops by Cooper the last two week, no wonder he was carrying on like a twat on the bench - yes Coop, you are just no ****ing good.

Yeah Bradford shouldnt cop any flack, I am somewhat amazed he is still in one piece given the last few weeks & that's a great sign if he decides to stay. Not that it means fu, but imagine how his stats might have looked this year with some decent protection & say Maclin still downfield.

He may or may not be a good coach, but the way he has gutted your roster means it is basically impossible to judge.

How has it been gutted? McCoy, Jackson and Maclin are the major losses.

I think we have found a good Qb to build around. Eagles won't allow Bradford to leave. Not without a first rounder at minimum as compensation.

Lots of difficult evaluations are to be made on defense however.

If the season ended right now we would pick 12th in the draft.

Between now and then the chip haters will be very vocal.

Does billy Davis stay? I think it really depends on the quality of his potential replacements.

We're not actually really much stronger in defense than we were. Our defense continues to allow historically bad amounts of TD passes. We got absolutely gashed in the ground a number of times.

I asked the other week which defensive stars have we got now that we didn't have. Jenkins and Barwin as quality FAs.

We drafted Hicks. Great. Logan perhaps. Two good starters in three years?

Really, it's questionable whether we made the right call going to the 3-4. Our supposed young impact players are still best fit in the 4-3. Cox was great this year, but would be an all time great as a 4-3 pass rushing DT (and it will be interesting to see whether he wants to stay in our system or go chase the sacks in a friendlier system). Graham better suited to a 4-3 end. Curry better suited to 4-3 end.

We've ultimately failed to develop an impact pass rushing LB in three years. If it weren't for Hicks we'd have failed to draft any quality LBs at all.

Three years is enough time to develop a quality defense. We haven't done it. We missed on crucial picks like Smith.

If you want to know why, you need to look at the things that Chad has identified. We used draft picks to plug holes that we created. A second, a third, and a first to cover WR, which was a self created wound. That's a lot of resource that could have been put into, I don't know, offensive line and pass rushers?

I would argue all three of those QB's had very good, bordering on elite, defences as well. Which we obviously don't have. Bradford was meant to be a our attempt at getting a "franchise" QB. Incidentally, what do you think about him? Would you keep him or look for someone else in FA/ the draft?

I'm not sure that Ravens mark II were really that elite a defense. They really got there based on offense. They had some defensive impact players no doubt, even if some aged ones. They rode Flacco/the offense to the title.

I'm not sure I want to pay 20+ million a year for a guy who's results were on the very lower eschelon of starting QBs. He had the lowest QBR of any consistently starting QB for the year I believe.

Having said that- Bradford play down the stretch was good. Really looked like he had confidence up etc. Won't hate it if we keep him.

Unfortunately there's unlikely to be a better option on the market this year either. If we started the season with Sanchez as our QB I think I'd not renew Gamepass.

If we can get it done, a two or three year deal. Also need to draft a QB. Unfortunately, his play might just be enough to get a larger and longer term deal with another team. I'm not sure I'm paying him true franchise QB money at this stage.

I'm in the same boat. If we do draft a QB I really don't think we should take somebody in the first round, I think the OL is the bigger priority and I don't really like the QB draft class. Would be a reach to me.

I think Peters is gone. I really don't see him agreeing to a pay cut and being moved inside to LG. There are some good guards available in FA (Boone, Brooks) that I think we should go after. I'd also spend our first round pick on an OT. It all starts with the line IMO. Get that right and the entire offense should start to function better. The FA WR crop looks pretty average to me unfortunately.

Slim chance Peters is gone, he had a bad year but he appeared to play through injuries throughout the year. He is also one of the leaders of the team and a true professional. The organisation values professionalism and leadership, hence the payrise that they gave Barwin last year, and the fact that the team took on Domeco's large contract.

Story is that Peters pulled himself out of the game healthy in the fourth because he didn't want to risk injury on a non playoff bound team.

One might question whether he would even want to be here next year.
