If Dustin gets a ban, in particular a long ban, can we come up with a standard email to send to the club and afl highlighting their double standards on several similar incidents, and demanding an explanation as to how they justify their punishment when the police haven't pressed any charges.

I'm not sure how many members are on this board but there surely is enough to get noticed.
Stop stressing, there will be no ban, The AFL handed it over to the cops, they will not undermine the Vic police by going against what they said.
The AFL and Richmond smelt a rat like we all did hence why they gave it to the cops.

Let me deal with it.

Go get 'em Tiger. Kick those weak mutha ****ing campaigners right in the ****ing vagina. I want you to bend them over and ram your love lance right in their kyber pass.
I want them to feel the ****ing wrath of the tiger army. What a weak pack of campaigners they are. ROOOAAARRRRR

That will be Monday at earliest because we have to wait for the muppets at AFL to release their findings and our leadership group make their decision.

Surely we can hit 200 before then. And if it's ugly...triple ton it will be!
What findings, i betcha their 'findings ' will be exactly the same as the police findings.

He got hammered and got himself into a bit of a spot.
He will get some sort of penalty from them otherwise we are kidding ourselves.

This might sound a bit rude but I couldn't give a shit, he got the all clear from the cops and that's all I care about.
Be honest with yourself, what are the leadership group going to do other than a fine.

I don't know.
Depends on his track record with them I guess.

Hopefully something that will give him a bit more of a message.

Say 20 laps of indian file for everyone. That's what we got when a group of us turned up for a game without any sleep after a big Fri/Sat down at the coast drinking/puffing.

Why is it called Indian file anyway?

I had a quick read of the players code of conduct last night.

4.1
Public conduct
AFL Players must, at all times and while in public, behave in a manner which upholds and promotes the highest standards of integrity and dignity. AFL Players must not behave in any way so as to bring AFL Football, the AFL, AFL Clubs or the AFLPA into disrepute.

Public behaviour includes, without limitation, behaviour during travel to or from Matches, participation in authorised Matches (including overseas Matches), AFL or AFL Club excursions, Functions (see Clause 4.2), Promotional events (see Clause4.3) and other public venues where the AFL Player is participating in authorised activities.
Breach: Forfeiture of up to $5,000

Could someone clarify whether the bolded and following means this only applies when a player is "on duty". If not then Dusty made no breach of the code. On the other hand the most the AFL could punish him with is a $5k fine?

Also section 26 of the CBA - game development and promotion covers a players obligations to promote the sport:

All Players shall be available for one half day per fortnight during each year of the Term of this Agreement save and except for periods of leave, to participate in bona fide appearances for development of the game of Australian Football as well as AFL and AFL Club promotion.

It could be argued then that Dusty or any player for that matter actually has no authority or obligation to promote the game in their own time so the whole bringing the game into disrepute argument is moot.

I'll be dirty if the AFL give him too much, however whatever the club decide to do about it I'm happy with.
