To be fair, yesterday's somewhat surprising decision (from Tanner's point of view, at least) has changed the context of his comment re Hird, clearly. It's not like he actually said this yesterday, so I'm not sure I see the point of lobbing it into the conversation (you didn't) at what is still an emotional time for most concerned with EFC.
I thought it was a bizarre thing to say at the time too given we didn't have an outcome. Didn't mean to insinuate he said it yesterday (if I did).

wow, love Dyson's mum, what a great footy mum
What a great person she sounds like. I urge any Essendon supporter who is upset at the moment to listen to this interview, if the ABC podcast it that is. The presenter was shocked she wasn't angry at the club. But Dysons mum answered everything well and got me feeling emotional.

Will stick with the club :)

Can anyone post a link to Dysons mum on radio? I missed the live broadcast

It was only broadcast live a few minutes ago. It may be up later on.

Definitely. She didn't sound unhappy at the club. Didn't think they had done anything wrong. Had concern with the penalty given to other players (ie. Stanton) who are close to retirement.

Care to name which ones you think?
Im not suggesting a mass exodus, however would be hard to play for a club which you are in legal battle with. Dyson would have more to gain by not entering into legal proceedings against the club however the older players may be to the contrary...

Can't see both Jobe and Stanton taking legal action both were on the verge of retiring before recommitting.

Why wouldn't they?

What about the loss of reputation? These gentlemen will be forever known as drug cheats

This stains their reputations and contributed to ending their career earlier than it may have otherwise. I'd see them as possibly the most likely.

Just saw on a news grab that Dyson Heppell's family have come out and said the Club betrayed their son

Not wrong there
Obviously listening to a different interview to the rest of us.

I found that comment interesting watching the ch7 news grab in light of the comments some have made about the 774 interview
