What I am saying is how did he get this reputation all of a sudden as a 'brilliant football brain' after 1 or 2 years coaching Gold Coast reserves? Perplexing.

Not much in his playing career could give him that title.

Very highly rated at Mansfield, have family there and vist now and then, coached their seniors for year or two I believe

Didn't Gold Coast finish Last in the NEAFL last season?

and What does that has to with Fraser's Footy Brain?

I saw what you did there, and I'm surprised others didn't. It wasn't even that subtle!

I known to miss stuff like that by 5 Miles

What did he do?

Nope very serious. The insight he provided on ABC radio was amazing it's a shame a few on here didn't pay attention by the looks of things (not directed at you anzacday).

His mindset helped shape the 2010 group because he was sick of the attitude the playing group had.

The idea was not Brown's - he has never been one for theatrical flourishes - but high-performance manager Simon Lloyd's. It was not a mere whim. At the end of 2008, Josh Fraser had expressed disgust that the Collingwood players ''just don't talk about winning the f------ premiership''. Coach Mick Malthouse picked up the theme on a pre-season trip to Arizona.

There is a poignant moment before the qualifying final when Malthouse asks players at random what the match means to them. He comes to Anthony Rocca, who stares at the ground, then says: ''I haven't got many games left, mate. This means everything.'' Fraser, who emerges as a kind of voice of the common man (if there is such thing in this uncommon environment) rejoins: ''It means f------ heaps to me, but it means more, knowing how much it means to him.'' It would become Fraser's last game of the season, Rocca's last ever.

Even though he didn't play in that premiership Josh Fraser played a pivotal part in getting us there because he wanted it so ****ing badly. As I said Josh Fraser is one man I want back at the club and he's one that cares for it just as much as any one of us!

With their run of injuries and SNAFUs, I'm not sure where else they could have ended up.

Got so bad that Matty Lappin had to pull on the boots there at one stage...

We don't have a dedicated ruck coach right now...

Now there's a guy I'd love to get back to Collingwood! Brilliant football brain and the attitude that our club needs, IMO.
Did any one notice on their panel is Robert maiorana? Am sure he as captain of our under 15 development squad or something like that. Fabian Careli was vice captain. Would be say 25 years ago or so.
Time flies

He is a Interesting one as he was Born in Melbourne and Must of at least played Footy in the School Yard. So could he be Fast Tracked because of that. Being Fast is not Everything I am more Impressed with Reports of him Finding Space
Speed is a huge adavantage, but as you say not everything.

I'm reminded of the old adage, you can't run faster than a well kicked football

Where does the brilliant football brain come from?
Top part of the body, above the neck, ways about 10 pounds.
Usually located top part, to the back, protected by skull. :D
(Sometimes difficult to find  )

That's where big footy is really good, you get insights or knowledge about things you can easily miss.
Eg Josh Fraser being highly regarded these days.
I heard he was doing some coach work, now I know more about it.
Thanks all who have provided this info.

With pace like that maybe Wyatt could be the answer to our lack of small forwards.

Anyone know what his crumbing is like?
This crumbing business, what can we do?
If in doubt a nice sznitsel crumbed well would do the trick ;)
