If we can go from one timelessly ****ing awesome guernsey (PBs) to another completely different timelessly ****ing awesome guernsey (BiB) in the space of 13 years, Essendon can make a classy, serviceable clash strip by inverting their existing one.

Essendon have literally only worn jumpers with red sashes for 140 years. We've worn a whole heap of different ones - magenta, plain black and white stripes, prison bars, SBS BiB, countless stupid arty clashes and finally the BiB.

The Essendon strip is fine. It looks fine. It doesn't help that the primary personnel modelling it is an ugly man with a punchable head.

The fact that they have always had a red sash is irrelevant to the question of what makes a good clash strip. If that was the only concern they might as well have a red sash with day-glo green in place of the black.
