Avoiding Dortmund at all costs is crucial. We need someone else to knock them out.
That someone else would need to know them really well, and maybe have a bit of X factor to distract Reus and Mkhitaryan. Ideally, they'd be led by a former long-term manager or something.

I want Lazio, Lazio would be fun. Not for the matchgoing fans coz they'll get stabbed in Rome or something

Ok ok let's beat the dirty mancs first

Yep Thursday first and foremost. Getting a goal to make United needing 4 is a priority.

"As the two giants do battle for the right to be knocked out by Basel in the next round..."

http://www.theguardian.com/football...w-success-ngolo-kante-mattia-destro?CMP=fb_gu

"Big-money signings are – apart from Ángel Di María – conspicuous by their absence and 14 of the 20 transfers picked by our writers came at a cost of less than £10m. In fact the average transfer fee of the 20 best signings is £9.1m with add-ons excluded. The average age of our best signings is 24.65 years."

The median age in particular is what interests me and is totally in line with the age of player I'd like us to target. Matip must have been bang on that average when we signed him - he'll be 25 next season.

I would take it with a grain of salt however, as Iago Aspas appears on the list and the article also states...

"It is also interesting to note that seven of the 16 players from Germany, France, Spain and Italy are players who, for one reason or another, did not succeed in England."

This would suggest that foreign players, no matter their quality, may fail to reproduce in the Premier League. I think we've been lucky with our imports, for the most. I just wouldn't be so sure that the grass is always greener abroad.

If United score early on Thursday, I'll be shitting bricks! We MUST score, or at least hold them to the half.
All we need is one goal and it effectively ends things. Even if they then score three, we still go through on away goals.

One goal and then they must score 4 times to progress.

United have played in 46 competitive fixtures so far this season. Guess how many times they have scored four or more goals in a match in those 46 fixtures.

Twice.

Once in the Champions League qualification round way back at the start of the season. They won 4-0 in the second leg against Club Brugge. The second time they managed it was at home against the might of FC Midtjylland 5-1 in the Round of 32 in the Europa League.

Score once and this tie is over.

CMON REDMEN.

We are a better football team than United. I'm happy for us to control possession in a 0-0 and conserve our energy for the league match v So'ton. We'll probably get a couple anyway because we're good.

On the Braz-Allan, that comment was prompted by his call up to the U20s. We need him playing for the national team to help make the case for his work permit in England.

Too cold in England?

Good. Seeya bro. Haha.
Would like to give someone else a go for the rest of the season in the U21s at the ST position.

Perhaps bring back 18 year old Taiwo Awoniyi from his loan at Frankfurt.

Sinclair can pack his bags now.

Thinks he should be in the first team. Big ego apparently. Enjoy Watford.

The Merseyside derby against Everton will now take place on on Wednesday, April 20th.

The game against Chelsea will now be on Wednesday, May 11th.

Both are 8pm kick off and both will be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK.

The Everton match will be played three days before their FA Cup semi-final – the Reds face Newcastle at home that same Saturday following the derby.

The Chelsea game will now be Liverpool’s last home game of the season, arriving after the Watford home match but before the final game of the season at West Brom.

That means the Chelsea game will be last match played at Anfield before the new Main Stand takes the stadium’s capacity to around 54,000 for next season.

It's not completely gone just yet.

Just keep winning, just keep winning, just keep winning. :)

Mathematically no. Realistically yes. We would need to win at least 8 out of our 10 remaining games to have a chance of finishing in the top 4. Very unlikely.
