he didnt shit the bed for a change
He did in one marking contest I saw, he's played decent games here and there before so I wouldn't be jumping on him as a changed player as yet I'd need to see 6 or 7 weeks of it.

Yep, GWS = overrated. Even without Cameron they still should have beaten Melbourne. The Giants have always had a problem with heart - they think they are better then they really are and just shut up shop in the last thinking that they had the game won. Perennial losers and won't be anywhere near finals unless they start kicking straight and putting games that they should win to bed.

And if Melbourne thinks that they would get away with that game against any side that actually could kick for goal, they are delusional. But compared to the effort that the Giants put up in the last, you can make a case for the Demons making finals in the future before GWS does, because at least they kept at the game for four quarters.

im with you on this one i was kinda being sarcastic. people forget hes the number 1 pick form 2008.......2008!!!

1 good game doesn't undo the last 6 years, now if hes playing like this in round 8, ill change my tune

Watts with the ball in hand has always been one of the more entertaining players in the comp, it's crazy the vitriol he's received over the years.

It's just his attack on the ball and playing with any confidence that has been the question. He looks like he's believing in himself now, and the game is better for it. Crazy athlete.

I didn't see anything overly convincing with Watts, what's with the carry on?
4 quarter effort in a team that played 2.25 quarters. First and only person to outmark Phil Davis, and converted a medium difficult shot from it. The only reliable tall marking option the Dees had.

Errr...if he got a fist to it how was it a throw?

If the hand that is holding the ball moves forward before the ball has left the hand then it is a throw. That's how it used to be adjudicated anyway.

Hey. He's tracking to be half as good as Justin Westhoff.
Westhoff! I used Broadbent as the comparison earlier, but yes today was on-song Hofflike for Watts.

Hmmm. I've thrown a lot of balls then.

That game just showed that when you have control, like GWS did in the 2nd/3rd quarters, if you don't put a side away then you could be in trouble.

Gee, Crows did well in the SANFL game. Some good names in there. They sure have depth. Hope Magpies can pull their finger out!

28,000 at the MCG in round 1.

I can't remember if it's was Spud, Choo-man or Schwatter (lol f-me what dumb nicknames) but they were talking this up as being a good thing.
