I've just never bought into the rivalry between the two clubs. I'd go for Gold Coast most weeks if they're not playing Brisbane.
The minute the didn't name it the pineapple grapple it became a rivalry doomed to fail. Lost opportunity right there to have a golden pineapple as the trophy. Goddamn modern tragedymedia hype shite...and i use the word 'hype' advisedly. I'm not even sure footy people in QLD could give a toss. QClash? QApathy...much like the 'battle of the bridge'. 'battle of the bollocks', more like.
A minority of people care in QLD and NSW about AFL and of those who do does anyone honestly, in either state, eagerly anticipate the 'derbies'? I'd say they look forward more to the visit of a big Vic team (esp c'wood).
Sorry, I'm not sold.
I would trade my meat and two veg if it meant he was a Lion. That photo...
Congratulations to @CarltonFC’s Jacob Weitering who is the round three @NAB AFL Rising Star nominee... by the way, he knows where you live.

I still like Shitfight in the sunshine personally
I think Lin Jong might be ahead of JedJed should get a run with bob murphy's injury
I dont know. I for one wasnt keen on gold coast coming in. And to be honest i hate them. Yes i hate them. I might be the only one. As much as i love the big vic clubs coming up the derby is one i enjoy. I seriously cant stand the ****ers.media hype shite...and i use the word 'hype' advisedly. Im fine if im the only one.
They're really growing on me these days. They can play an exciting brand of footy and now that they bottomed out in the last year or so,it's good to watch them start to put it together make the rise up we hope to achieve.I hated their guts at first and resented how we just fell into the AFL's blindspot for 5 years while they gave the Suns the keys the castle.
But as the heartland vs frontier politicking has ramped up in the last couple of years, I can't help but see them as somewhat of an ally.
They do still feel a touch plastic to me though.

great 2 posts alscotoz2. i much more look forward to this years clashes at the gabba with sydney, hawthorn, west coast, bulldogs etc. i like to watch good/great teams live. although i enjoy the banter with the suns supporters i know. we have used 4 guest passes for this weekends game so we can continue the sledging at the norman before the game and then in the confines of the gabba.Collingwood provide 'entertainment value' but to say i 'hated' them would be a stretch. I wouldn't waste the energy hatred requires, on an entity i have no respect for in any way... and i don't think they have any redeeming feature. GCS don't even enter my vision and neither do any of the other clubs.
EDIT: I was talking about the concept of 'hate'.
)I think they're finally starting to get their own personality too if that makes sense, as opposed to just being the new guys with all the high draft picks.I never understood why people hate the Suns. Was super excited about the prospects of a QLD team and even became a foundation member. My interest on them dropped off last season a bit after the drug/cultural problems all surfaced though and it's been a frustrating ride that's for sure. Will always be a Bears man though through and through even if the Suns are playing finals footy while we languish down the bottom.
I think it was 'faith', not confidence, so technically he should be safe imoEddie gave Bucks his full confidence on 360, RIP FIGJAM.

I agree, but he will go when pushed and he won't blow the club up on his way out like some other former club coaches.I can't see Bucks walking, ultra competitive and doesn't seem like that type that would walk as some have stated in the media.
i am in the minority on this board in that i like buckley as i have posted before, to me all i can go by is media grabs and he comes across IMO as a well spoken knowledgeable person.I think it was 'faith', not confidence, so technically he should be safe imo
