Everyone knew he wouldn't go anymore than another 2-3 years but I know he's still got a couple big fights ahead. He wouldn't have enough money yet to live the way he wants to.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

He's made his cash and ran..he doesn't want to get beat up any more.

I always thought he was an arseh*le. Him doing this would just confirm that thought.

One good thing is that it will give the UFC a good dose of it's own medicine.

One other thing to mention is that he was at the fight in Ireland a week or two back where one of the fighters died in hospital after fighting. Conor doesn't need to risk getting hurt, he's already made plenty of cash.

Life goes on...

Why would he be an arseh*le if he does retire? You just said yourself he doesn't need to risk getting hurt and watched someone get KO'd then die a day or so later. He doesn't owe anyone **** all and if he retires he'd retire as a featherweight champ and the biggest draw card in UFC history so far.

Looking after yourself and having different interests in life doesn't make you an arseh*le

It could be that the death has shaken him up, or a marketing ploy of some sort, or even failing a drug test. Maybe he has done his knee again and is injured.

Dana said its because McGregor didn't want to do the press conferences because it would interrupt his preperation while his training in Iceland.

and that he was pulled from the card because of it.

Genuinely don't understand why people would think this? Never dodged any fight and did what was required. How many times does/did he have to say he doesn't care about belts or W/L he just wanted money to set himself up then he was out.

I'm a person who is all about the winning aspect and money is just a bonus so I get it's hard to understand but people have different goals and things they want to do

This is weird as ****. I'm not a McGregor fan, but calling him an arseh*le or a coward makes little sense to me. Maybe wait until we have more details at least.

Not much to say really. Nobody has any idea what's behind any of this yet. I don't buy Dana White's story one bit.

Because it's a piss poor reason to blow a highly anticipated rematch, that was going to draw in pretty big dollars, all because he didn't want to fly to Vegas to promote it? Don't buy it for a second!
