Was at the game on Saturday went off with an injury he did apparently have calf issues through the preseason so hopefully it's just that.
Parkdale didn't get relegated without him last year and have a stronger list with a couple of ins and another year of experience for the young guys. They should be ok

Good to hear they've improved. The inclusion of Boland could have seen them close to finals if that was the case. Best forward the VAFA in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure he missed 3 very kickable goals in that first 1/4 too 5.3 to 1/4 time pretty impressive. He's just so strong and his hands are amazing. Beaumauris this week will be good to see where the boys are at!

No good. Did he really kick 5.3 in the first quarter? If so, that's incredible.
Pretty sure he missed 3 they played the full back 1 on 1 with him and the delivery was quite good.

Old Brighton v. St Bedes - Playing at the worst ground in A and B grade but St bedes should easily account for Brighton who have lost a few experienced heads. Bedes by 50 points.
Fitzroy v Old Haileybury - Fitzroy had 45 scoring shots against them on the weekend, therefore Haileybury by 3 goals for me.
Monash v Old Scotch - If Monash aren't fit, could be a blow out. On the big deck out at Monash, I have to go with Scotch by 8+ goals.
AJAX v Hampton - Tough one to tip. AJAX were horrible on the weekend, Hampton seemed to run the game out well. Hampton by 3 goals.
Parkdale v Beaumaris - Losing Boland will hurt, not that it would have mattered against Beauy. Beauy by 40 points.
All the away teams for me this weekend.

Interesting round. Would not have thought that Brighton could beat St Bedes! Old Haileybury are rolling. No surprises with Old Scotch and Monash game. AJAX got pumped last week and then gave it to Hampton this week, either Hampton are horrible or AJAX needed a game to get into things. Beaumaris should have won by more, seem to be the team to beat.
After seeing Beauy and Scotch over the first 2 weeks I am rating Beauy slightly higher. Scotch are very highly skilled but not tall. Will both take some beating.
Well done to the 2 female umps who did the game yesterday. Very good.

You cant have reunions if you dont win anything.
I also said Beaumaris look better. They have more depth too from my observations.
Nothing to do with big name imports. Milne was their worst player in Round 1. Destroyed by a 19 year old. Schneider??

The parky beauy game was an excellent game goal for goal the whole way through beauy just getting away at the end kicking with a decent breeze. Firey encounter with 3-4 guys getting sent off one being Milne who got sucked in with some banter from over the fence

Looked like a nasty hit from Milne on a Parkdale defender that started a small fight? Was he reported or sent off for that incident?

The Parky bloke was stiff, he got done in retaliation for the Milne hit, '' as you would '' but Milne should have been in the book for rough conduct at the very least. I think McLaren was also retaliating in the scuffle, so he may have been stiff as well. The game itself was a ripper, and Milne and Beauy's fitness was the only difference in the end. Gallant effort by the Vultures who have some good young blokes coming through, and more to come from the 19's. It should be a concern for Parky that they have failed to run both their games out in the last quarter, so fitness looks an issue.
