Final Siren - What would be the tips this week based off of this? (I have issues dragging teams, I can only do 1 :( )
Lots of differences to regular squig:
  • Gold Coast to beat North by 17
  • Cats to beat Port by 2
  • St Kilda to beat GWS by 2
  • Melbourne to beat Richmond by 8
Explosive squiggle is ahead of regular squiggle for tipping this year, but only because it tie-breaks on home teams, and got 9 in Round 1. Last year it got 137 for the year vs 146 for regular squiggle. From the first 5 rounds only of last year, Explosive squiggle got 24 vs 29 for regular squiggle. Similar numbers in previous years.

More often than not, it pays to respect last year's form.

Do you have a link for explosive squiggles tips? Lions form this year should be well up on last year, would like to see the difference for this weeks game, though I still expect the tips to be doggies by plenty.

Ross Lyon endorses this view.

Well, last year's form is better than no guide at all, but how to weight it against this year's form is an interesting question.

I note that three of the hot teams this year - Adelaide, North and the Bulldogs - were very ordinary performers in the first half of last year, but then shot up nearer the end of the season. In comparison, Fremantle and Collingwood's good form early last year is looking rather irrelevant.

Shame it doesn't take injuries and suspensions into account, because there's no way anyone would have tipped Suns to beat North this week, certainly not by 3 goals. I'd have thought that they'd be lucky to be within 5 goals at the end.

Some win by the Swans, jumped up in Squiggles rating a fair bit, so much so that they're predicted to make the GF! :O
To make it and get thumped. At least the Doggies/Eagles match ups with the Hawks appeared competitive according to the squiggle :p

Eagles getting a football lesson on the road. Reverting back to their flat track bully status.
Well everyone belts the Hawks at the G and Swans at the SCG dont they? Pretty sure 15 other clubs pencil those in as 8 points in the bank.
